Review: The nature of the complaint may not be 100% accuarate. My complaint involves Superior Moving & Storage, which has a DE office but most times, your phone call is rerouted to their Philly main office. I hired this compnay to move my family and our belongings from one house to another on Dec12 2014. The move was abit pricey but I felt if they did what they said they would do , I would have no problems. Issues arose at new home when I was approached by moving crew member taking me aside to show me the damage to my dining room table. This dining room set has been in my family since I was a kid and it is handcrafted from Europe. The end of table was cleanly broken off. I made the call to the company and spoke with supposedly the owner, [redacted], who told me that his customers are "his life" and he wants to correct the damage done to my table. He tells me of this 'subcontractor' who he has used various times and that this guys "an awards winner back in '08-'09 here in Philly for his work" , so I took the man at his word. He was sending a Professional out to make repairs. Well, what I got was a run down man who claimed to be recovering from an injury and so he does side work for [redacted] and Superior. ( I find out later he is actually an employee, not a subcontractor). He tries to repair the table with adhesive and tape to hold piece back in place. Problem is that the ends are molded and shaped to end of table. Adhesive and tape would not hold it correctly. When the tape was removed , there are gaps of 2.0-2.5 inches of separation from the tabletop. The man returns a week later only to tell me he can't fix it. And since this man has been paid at a rate I'm unaware of, he tells me he has to return money to [redacted]. Like I care about your refund! I'm overly pissed off that my furniture is damaged and I am now forced to hire a master craftsman from Marshallton DE to make the repairs ( I've used he before). I tried to get the moving company to honor thier word but they can't...and now they won't. They haven't taken the initiative to call me, the consumer, who has now damaged furniture that they damaged and offer a way to fix it...but they don't. And I'm tired of calling and being left on hold for 15+ minutes at a time to get in a song-n-dance that the owner will be in touch. I'm done! That is why I'm filing this complaint.Desired Settlement: I want the Owner of Superior to accept in writing that his company damaged the furniture and that HE will cover my expenses with the craftsman I choose since the one he sent could not do the job.



I spoke with Mr. [redacted] this morning, his master craftsman will be out this weekend to give him an estimate. Mr. [redacted] will call or email me Monday morning. We will then move forward to resolve this claim. Thank you,

Review: On Sept 11 2013 Superior Moving Co picked up a piano from our home and scheduled it to be delivered the next day to our daughter in Providence RI. We paid cash for the bill to deliver the piano.

The truck broke down the next day on its way to RI and was towed back to the warehouse in Philadelphia PA. We have phoned the company every 3 days for the last month and the company will not respond to our phone calls on when the Piano will be delivered.Desired Settlement: We would like to have a guarantee that the piano will be delivered in good condition to Providence Rhode Island within the next week.



Business Response to a Complaint


There was a delay as noted by consumer. The delivery and assembly of the piano ha now been completed on 10/16/13, at no additional charges to the consumer. Thank You for your time in this matter.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. There was a special procedure utilized in resolving a problem in communication

with the Moving Company which quickly resolved the problem.
