Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2015/11/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept their response because Superior Publishing Company falsely advertises that their inside knowledge of potential landlords and properties gives a person privileged access to a listing of properties. But in fact , they are accessing online websites, such as (Craigslist)in this case, that are free to the public. When meeting with one of the landlords listed on Superior Publishing Company's website, Ms. Sharon [redacted] stated she had not given permission to Superior Publishing to list her property but had place it on Craigslist. When I confronted the staff at Superior Publishing Company on two occassions requesting a refund, I was told that everyone makes mistakes. I stopped accessing their website because I realized I had been swindled out of $99. Also, their contract states that a refund request response happens in 1-14 business days. As the dates will show, and they admit, my request for a refund was submitted on 10/3 15. Their response only comes after I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com and the date on their response from that is 11/19/15. That is very much past 1-14 business days.

rental property. The terms and conditions are clearly stated in our contract which this complainant signed (copy attached). Within a day of signing contract, complainant came back to our office and demanded a refund and filled out the refund request dated 8/28/15 (copy attached). Our contract states that all refund requests will be reviewed and responded to within 14 clays, in this instance and due to the short amount of time elapsed, the company verbally agreed to issue a refund and that it would be done within a few weeks as the refund needed to be processed. The complainant stated that they needed gas money to get to work so company immediately refunded $11 that was available from their petty cash fund (which is acknowledged in complainant's refund request). The balance due has been fully refunded to the complainant. Our database is constantly being updated with new properties for rent as well as removing properties that have been rented. We try our best to make sure our database is current and to actively seek out new properties for our customers. We have been successfully placing renters with landlords for many years and are open Monday through Saturday to help people in their search. We are located at 7324-A Calumet Avenue in Hammond Indiana and can be reached at 219-S54-5040.
