I don't want to get into a he said she said argument over the issue with Mrs [redacted] ! In the last month we were flooded with ice removal calls and were working from sun up to sun down to try and get relief for these customersI did not have a chance to contact Mrs [redacted] on Friday as she said When we showed up on Saturday she was extremely upset and was unwilling to pay the price quoted! We told everyone that $was a starting point and that we would give a price based on the work involved once we got there! I never told her $dollarsOnce my men went to the house and I saw what needed to be done we quoted her $dollarsShe refused, she was nasty to me and then basically told me about her financial and medical issuesNow I don't have any doubt that Mrs [redacted] was in a desperate state at this time so I told her we would just leave and go on to the next callAgain she refused and begged me to clear off certain areas for $dollarsI complied with her and we did the jobI then get a call from [redacted] asking what we did to her and that she was furious and dissatisfiedMy reaction was one of regret! What can I do! Why didn't she just call someone else? As I said we have been so busy that sometimes schedules and call backs get missed but to have to deal with a customer that out for blood because there situation is desperate is not right either! At this point Mrs [redacted] should leave us alone and focus on her repairsWe do not remove snow from peoples yards and I don't know where she thought we were going to put the snow? All we can do is shovel snow off the roofs on to the ground belowAs she stated she asked my foreman to clear a path and he didShe could have asked for us to clear out more but she didn't want to pay us to do it so now its our fault!! We did nearly Snow & Ice removal calls and she was the most unreasonable person I dealt with! I'm not saying that us getting back to her on Friday was not our fault, It was but to have to argue and listen to her issues and problems was just not what we were there to do! I have my own problems! I understand she has but I can only do what I canIT WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH AND OBVIOUSLY NOT APPRECIATED! I needed the roof of my house to be replaced including the breezeway and the garage in Greece, NY I was looking for a reasonable, reputable, trustworthy roofing company and with the help of a neighbor, I thank God we found the YORKSTATE ROOFING SERVICES Since my first meeting with the company owner, MrJeremiah Omer, I was very impressed with his extreme professionalism, courtesy, listening skills, polite attitude and expertise I was very comfortable asking him all the questions I had and he patiently and clearly explained everything to me in full detail including what materials he was going to purchase, use, and how the job was going to be done MrOmer as well as his crew is extremely committed to provide an outstanding and excellent superior service MrOmer’s honesty, fairness, and trustworthiness are well beyond superior The work on my house was completed within the time frame quoted and the results exceeded my expectations I received a fast, friendly, and professional top-quality service from a reliable, first class, sound company I am extremely happy with my experience and the results of a job very well, well done I highly recommend to anyone who might need or is in need of any roof service to check YORKSTATE ROOFING SERVICES first I assure you, you will be very pleased and happy you did, period(*** & M***) 8/27/

I sent two people over (two different times) to finish the work, pressure washing and painting The ***'s said it was unsatisfactory I do not want any of my customer's to be dissatisfied with our work, therefore I will reimburse them for the amount they wish and feel is fair

First we are very sympathetic to the frustration this consumer has! We have been extremely busy this fall. When contacted to affirm our appointment my receptionist contacted me to ask if I would be making it out. I decided to cancel and I was told of the dissatisfaction from the consumer. At this...

point in time I would like to say that we are very sorry for this but I firmly believe that this does not warrant a complaint against our company regarding customer service! When the appointment was made in September it was stated then that we were very busy and that we would not even be able to schedule a visit till a month or later! The consumer should have made other arrangements to procure bids from other contractors able to come out. This complaint is purely out of frustration and has no basis on our service as a contractor in the community. We are extremely busy at this time because we are in fact a very good company! Again I am deeply saddened to have caused this frustration!! Sincerely,[redacted] Yorkstate Roofing Services

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: On September 29, 2014 we agreed on a price of $3150.00 for labor and supplies associated with my home at [redacted] The work associated with this contract included the following:

1. Install vinyl siding on gable end – right side of home

2. Remove existing gutters on the entire home and reinstall same gutters upon job completion

3. Install new vinyl soffit on entire home

4. Install new fascia metal on entire home

5. Install gutter guards

6. Install soffit under carport

7. Install new white metal around all edges

8. Clean all debris and haul away

9. Replace bad fascia on entire home

I have paid you the full amount for this job and yet this job was never completed to the above specifications and to this day remains incomplete. I have called you numerous times at which point you have assured me the job would be completed yet you have never shown up to complete the job. Given both the existing issues as well as your lack of integrity in standing by your 7 year warranty as is listed in your contract, I am seeking a full refund as well as the cost of repairs needed and damages incurred during the job totaling $3,462.50. You have until Friday, February 20th 2015 (30 business days) to comply with this request or I will be forced to file my claim in a court of law.Desired Settlement: Refund

Review: Failed to finish job correctly (Vinyl siding). Left things undone, did not return phone calls or come back to correct problems.Desired Settlement: We think it would be fair to at least get some of our money back. We also think it would be good business for this company to lose their business license.
