-----Original Message----- From: [redacted] Sent: Monday, November 07, 12:PM Subject: [redacted] because we feel this was a calculated rip off by ***, our last response is that we wrote the $8,ooo off as a loss and moved on to serve our hundreds of other satisfied customers --

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Thank you for trying to mediate for us Mr [redacted] has automatically voided the performance & year Warranty on the paint finish by not installing it according to instructionsWe were told the 1/down would cover the cost of materials. We asked Mr [redacted] several times to correct certain issues with the roof once we became aware of inconsistencies according to the instructions of the product (The end caps are open instead of closed, the Z tracts and ridge caps and riveting used to secure the ridge caps are not aligned and are causing open gaps, the flashing which should be flush with the eve is too [redacted] from the edge of the house which also causes them to stick out too [redacted] over the gutters to catch the rain correctly, the chimney was not boxed in correctly, the valleys are not secured correctly, it was not vented correctly which will damage the underlying wood over time, there was cutting damage to a roof joist, and it is now rusting because it was not protected due to the crew leaving scraps on the [redacted] panels of the roof that damages the paint)If Mr [redacted] had corrected the issues according to the manufacturer instructions we would have been happy to pay him the balanceHe choses to take short cuts on the installation to save hi**elf money and time, and chose to walk away suggesting we have someone from [redacted] Sales fix the issues instead of addressing them hi**elfThere was never any discussion of returning any "remaining balance" to Mr [redacted] after having someone else fix the issuesWhy would a consumer pay for a job that was left incomplete? We did however ask what if it costs more than what was left of the balance to fix the issues and he did not answerWe have since talked with the president of ***s sales and at this point we have been told to find a new contractor because the the roof will need to be completely redoneWe are having difficulty finding another contractor familiar with the product that is willing to just correct the issues The cost of a new [redacted] roof will at this point exceed the balance left from the original bidWe would like to have this situation resolved before we go into the winter months that could possibly cause more damage to the roof, gutters, and house.Regards, [redacted] & [redacted]

Thank you for trying to mediate for us.  Mr. [redacted] has automatically voided the performance & 45 year Warranty on the paint finish by not installing it according to instructions. We were told the 1/3 down would cover the cost of materials. We asked Mr [redacted] several times to correct certain issues with the roof once we became aware of inconsistencies according to the instructions of the product (The end caps are open instead of closed, the Z tracts and ridge caps and riveting used to secure the ridge caps are not aligned and are causing open gaps, the flashing which should be flush with the eve is too [redacted] from the edge of the house which also causes them to stick out too [redacted] over the gutters to catch the rain correctly, the chimney was not boxed in correctly, the valleys are not secured correctly,  it was not vented correctly which will damage the underlying wood over time, there was cutting damage to a roof joist, and it is now rusting because it was not protected due to the crew leaving scraps on the [redacted] panels of the roof that damages the paint). If Mr. [redacted] had corrected the issues according to the manufacturer instructions we would have been happy to pay him the balance. He choses to take short cuts on the installation to save hi**elf money and time, and chose to walk away suggesting we have someone from [redacted] Sales fix the issues instead of addressing them hi**elf. There was never any discussion of returning any "remaining balance" to Mr. [redacted] after having someone else fix the issues. Why would a consumer pay for a job that was left incomplete?  We did however ask what if it costs more than what was left of the balance to fix the issues and he did not answer. We have since talked with the president of [redacted]s sales and at this point we have been told to find a new contractor because the the roof will need to be completely redone. We are having difficulty finding another contractor familiar with the product that is willing to just correct the issues.  The cost of a new [redacted] roof will at this point exceed the balance left from the original bid. We would like to have this situation resolved before we go into the winter months that could possibly cause more damage to the roof, gutters, and house.Regards,
[redacted] & [redacted]
