Ten and half years ago I spent over $10,with Superior Security and Sound when my new house was built They did not install the TV mount wiring the way I asked They snaked the bundle of wires over a ceiling rafter without conduit so as technology changed and HDMI became standard there was no way to change the wiring They did not give me the speakers on my patio built into the wall, there were rock speakers instead The intercom quit working the first year and they charged me $to fix it The intercom quit working again three months later and still busted Four years ago the invoices for the security system began to have a hand written phone number over the typed one which is still handwritten to this day When we called to cancel our account because we are moving eight full years after fulfilling our contract obligation they want to come out to my house to disable the system and charge me $ The representative used bullying tactics saying a disconnect fees are industry standard She will bring me the contract where it says the equipment was leased and the disconnect fee is due So much for ten years of being a good customer with zero late/missed payments In my previous house we had ADT service and they simply disconnected for no fee and without visiting to disable the system Don't waste time or money on Superior Security and Sound They are neither reliable nor professional I wish I would have only paid for the rough in and used ADT from day one Not to mention, seeing an HDMI cable hanging from my TV for six years and spending a fortune to run speaker wires through a patio to rock speakers I never wanted

I have been a customer of Superior Security for 20 years they r great and r still in business great customer service and the alarm if u turn it off inb15 to 20 seconds u can put ur pass code in and not get false alarms I put a new security system in a few months ago love it also the cameras Don the owner has come on weekends to fix my alarm my old alarm lasted 20 years I rate them #1

I took SSS to small claims court after they issued me a $600 check with insufficient funds. It has taken more than 8 months to come close to resolving the issue but the judge did rule in my favor. The company owes me close to $1000 now due to cancellations not monitoring services,court costs, interest, etc. I will continue to pursue this company until I am paid.

Superior Security asked me to pay in advance for a year's worth of home monitoring in 2015. Later on I suspected my home was not being monitored at all. I no longer received calls from the monitoring company if we accidentally set off the alarm. I tried calling and writing to Superior Security. I never got back a response. I also began to receive bills for monthly service while I was still within the 12 month period I had already paid for. That is very suspicious since Superior Security told me I had to pay upfront because the monitoring company no longer allowed them to bill monthly. I believe Superior Security is no longer truly in business and is just taking money from customers. I strongly urge any customers to at least test their system and then consider finding a new monitoring service.
