We were on a cross country trip, pulling a U-Haul, and began having what I though was transmission problems. We called ahead and they were happy to take us in on a moment's notice. It turned out that the problem was electrical and not mechanical. While they were diagnosing the car, our radiator began leaking. Fortunately we were at their shop when it happened. They ordered the part, told us where a good place to eat lunch was, and in a few hours we were back on the road. I could not say enough for the kind and caring way they treated us. I was also very pleased at the fairness of the bill. Other shops may gouge a desperate customer, but these guys did everything to help us. Truly a great experience.
After doing some research on transmission shops in the area I decided to go with Superior Transmission Shop after reading all the good reviews. Took my car in and after 4 weeks they hadn't even looked at it. I called every week and spoke to [redacted] he told me they were waiting for a lift. On the 3rd week he said they were going to diagnose it an call me the next day, No call..So I waited another week and called back. He put me on hold for a long time, hung up and waited.. he never called back, I picked up my car 2 days later. I wish they had told me that they were to backed which is what I assume. I could have taken it somewhere else. That's exactly what I'm going to do. Sometimes its hard to find a reliable shop...even if it's praised with good reviews.
