I would like to share my experience with Superior Violins. I am from [redacted], India, Playing Violin for more than year, I was looking for an upgrade for my student Violin and chanced upon Superior Violin website (after going through several other options on internet). Its always difficult to purchase a Violin online because you never know how its going to sound and if the instrument worth the money. When I contacted Superior Violin, Michael gave me lot of individual time, did not rush me through the purchase. He showed me his collection via Skype (played few Violins for me) and suggested me a Tia Bruna Model which he thought would suit my need the best (btw - this was not the costliest model he had). I took his advice and bought it online , he gave me great deal. The whole purchase process was smooth and I was given sufficient time to complete the payment. Their post sales support is equally impressive, Bernie helped me with the questions on customs and followed up with India office.
Now on the Violin (which I received in one piece without any damage), its light weight, easy to play and sounds simply amazing. It has a mature, even tone across the strings. My teacher and my friends (who are big fans of German Violins) are thoroughly impressed. I have now bought a second Tia Bruna Violin for my relative. I am just starting to learn to play the violin and found the Violin Tutor Pro site first. Excellent, very informative, step-by-step lessons for playing the violin. From there, I went to the Superior Violin Website. Michael was very helpful and genuinely cared about me as a customer and a budding violinist and assisted me through the entire process of choosing the right violin, bow, and case that was perfect for me. I ordered the Elda Marina Violin from Michael 1/15/16 and it arrived 1/19/16. Firstly, the violin was nothing short of beautiful. I have purchased a violin and a viola from Superior Violins. I have also purchased a pernambuco bow and assorted accessories. Each and every experience with them has been extremely positive. I ordered my violin based on the internet view from Superior Violins. Michael S[redacted] personally answered the telephone, answered my questions, and helped through the process of ordering the violin. Very easy considering the violin was shipped to [redacted]. My violin arrived at the post office within 6 days from the date of the order. I received an order confirmation that day and a shipping number the next day. At the post office there was a small customs fee of $60.00 which Michael deducted from the total price of the violin.

I cannot recommend this online company enough! Just a little background of me. We are a large family on one moderate income with many musical children. As a family, we make many sacrifices to allow our children the opportunity to play good music. As our 12 year old continued to advance in his playing of the violin, the music teacher informed us that his violin is holding him back and he needs a better violin and preferably much better. For us this is a large investment and hard.

So we took the jump and ordered a Tia Bruna violin package with an upgraded bow. If it was of the quality it claimed, then it was a phenomenal deal. I went through the financing process, in which I was transferred to another company. Regretfully, there was a programming glitch with my information. Michael, owner of Superior Violin immediately got with the company to fix it. What transpired afterwards can only be described as amazing! There was a plethora of emails and phone calls that Michael did to fix the situation, yet to no avail. He actively communicated with me what was happening, who he spoke with and what we were waiting for. After multiple days of problems which exceeded the sales window, Michael being true to his word found a solution. With that solution, he continued to honor the sales price and shipped the violin.

The violin is beautiful, sounds rich and pure. The package included high end case with rosin and other handy items. Each thing is of such high quality, I feel blessed. I wish all my online shopping experiences were as wonderful as this one. I will continue to shop my musical instrument needs from him and his business. I would suggest you do the same!
