Dear Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The venue's response is very disappointing and unfortunately much of it is untrue. Here are the facts. During the 6 month planning phase of our wedding, we had many meetings with the venue. During those meetings, it was determined with and by the venue that we needed to have 30 tables set up in the Grand Ballroom to accommodate the number of wedding guests we were planning on having for our reception. Due to this fact, we purchased floral arrangements to cover 30 tables. The morning of the wedding, while the venue was setting up....they discovered they could only fit 25 tables in their Grand Ballroom, and not the 30 we had discussed and planned for.  This oversight cost us $1292.45 in additional florals we essentially didn't need. When speaking with [redacted] after the wedding, she apologized for the oversight and asked that we send her an invoice for the overage and that she would reimburse us. (My husband and Dad were both present with me during this conversation) We did as requested and never received the full reimbursement. (See the email string attached to this case for support) It is not acceptable that because this venue did not understand their own capacity restraints, that we had to pay more money out of pocket than we needed to due to this oversight.  In response to the message from Superstition Manor:We did not go “over” our floral budget, nor send anything to them that wasn't discussed and requested.  With regard to the Floral Vendor - we were working with the Floral Vendor that the venue had recommended, but after a discussion with [redacted] about her vendor, she and I agreed it was best to go a different route. [redacted] was not happy with this vendor because she found out she was up charging her Superstition Manor clients for a fee that was supposed to come out of an additional profit gained by her referrals. Since [redacted] was not comfortable with this partnership, and I was not comfortable with it, she approved that I use a vendor I felt comfortable working with. She met this vendor prior to the wedding and was very familiar with our floral design for the wedding. To be completely honest, this fact really has nothing to do with this complaint, but I wanted to address it regardless. In their response, the business also mentioned that we should have been charged additional room fees. I was told by [redacted] from Day One that our VIP Package (which cost approx. $17K) included access to the entire facility. We were told by the venue that where most venues charge per room, their venue operates differently, as they are striving to be an affordable option for wedding/events. What upsets me most about this situation is that we became very close with [redacted] and [redacted] during the planning of our wedding. We had strong communication and a lot of meetings which gave us a lot of time to get to know them and their family.  I understand this is a freshman business for them, and they have a lot to learn. We have shown grace in many areas already (both financially and experientially), and have spoken to the venue directly about such things.  I do stand by the fact however, that Superstition Manor should be held accountable for this oversight, as it had a large financial impact to us.  [redacted] agreed to take responsibility, and now is denying anything ever happened. That saddens me greatly. Especially with the evidence of the email string that proves our discussion on this issue. We look forward to further resolution on this matter.Warmest Regards,[redacted] and [redacted]
