We take any customer complaints seriously and hope to resolve to customer's satisfaction if possible.SuperTec Heating & Cooling has provided HVAC services to Ms [redacted] on several occasionsWe have fixed a number of hazardous HVAC conditions due to work performed by either contractors or handymen, inclusive of a serious CO hazard Each time a technician is sent we discuss with the homeowner basic preventative maintenance we encourage they perform as to avoid system breakdownIncluded in this list of recommendations is the basic changing of the filter, including the proper orientation A previous visit revealed a refrigerant leak Note, if a AC system is low on refrigerant, there is most certainly a leak Refrigerant is not consumed, hence needing refill periodically, as part of the cooling process We were unable to find the leak, which is not uncommonMs [redacted] dismissed us and brought another company in to find the refrigerant leak They were also unsuccessfulMs [redacted] brought us back in to put refrigerant into the system and we suggested a refrigerant sealantWe shared with Ms [redacted] that a refrigerant sealant will slow and or stop a leakWe suggested beginning to plan for the inevitable, which is system replacement whether sooner or laterSystem was fully charged with refrigerant.Again, we always go over regular preventative maintenance AC was working when we left the home. Two weeks later we received a call from Ms [redacted] that her AC was again not working We came and found the Compressor had failedUpon further investigation we found a completely blanketed with debris furnace filter If the furnace filter gets too dirty refrigerant which would normally return to compressor as a gas returns as a liquidThe compressor cannot compress liquidThe Compressor failedWe told Ms [redacted] of our findings including the filter We informed Ms [redacted] that the time has come for replacement of the AC system or the Condenser Compressor The Condenser Compressor part is available, however the unit is out of warranty, hence there is cost Replacing the Compressor involves the Compressor, complete replacement of any existing refrigerant (a full recharge), installing a filter drier, pressure testing, dehydrating the system, the cost (parts and labor) is $1, Note that we know that there is an unfound leak However, we were trying to provide a manageable option for Ms [redacted] Replacing the AC system is $3,to $4,minimum.We have received no further calls nor messages from Ms [redacted] and we do have record of all inbound calls and messages. As with previous service calls to Ms [redacted] property to address unfinished HVAC work contracted with some other company or handyman, or downward sloping furnace exhaust, or missing inducer draft motor which is unavailable yet available, or poorly installed thermostats or a refrigerant leak or a dirty flame sensor we maintain a high level of integrity in the services we provide. We would be happy to find a resolution for Ms [redacted] We would be happy to meet with any other company on site that we and they can confirm what we have confirmed The Compressor is bad.We cannot however control when equipment may fail nor compel preventative maintenance the a homeowner should perform in order to avoid untimely failure of equipment.Best Regards,ChamSuperTec Heating & Cooling

handymen, inclusive of a serious CO hazard.  Each time a technician is sent we discuss with the homeowner basic preventative maintenance we encourage they perform as to avoid system breakdown. Included in this list of recommendations is the basic changing of the filter, including the proper orientation.  A previous visit revealed a refrigerant leak.  Note, if a AC system is low on refrigerant, there is most certainly a leak.  Refrigerant is not consumed, hence needing refill periodically, as part of the cooling process.  We were unable to find the leak, which is not uncommon. Ms. [redacted] dismissed us and brought another company in to find the refrigerant leak.  They were also unsuccessful. Ms. [redacted] brought us back in to put refrigerant into the system and we suggested a refrigerant sealant. We shared with Ms. [redacted] that a refrigerant sealant will slow and or stop a leak. We suggested beginning to plan for the inevitable, which is system replacement whether sooner or later. System was fully charged with refrigerant.Again, we always go over regular preventative maintenance.  AC was working when we left the home. Two weeks later we received a call from Ms. [redacted] that her AC was again not working.  We came and found the Compressor had failed. Upon further investigation we found a completely blanketed with debris furnace filter.  If the furnace filter gets too dirty refrigerant which would normally return to compressor as a gas returns as a liquid. The compressor cannot compress liquid. The Compressor failed. We told Ms. [redacted] of our findings including the filter.  We informed Ms. [redacted] that the time has come for replacement of the AC system or the Condenser Compressor.  The Condenser Compressor part is available, however the unit is out of warranty, hence there is cost.  Replacing the Compressor involves the Compressor, complete replacement of any existing refrigerant (a full recharge), installing a filter drier, pressure testing, dehydrating the system, the cost (parts and labor) is $1,600.00.  Note that we know that there is an unfound leak.  However, we were trying to provide a manageable option for Ms. [redacted].  Replacing the AC system is $3,500 to $4,000 minimum. We have received no further calls nor messages from Ms. [redacted] and we do have record of all inbound calls and messages. As with previous service calls to Ms. [redacted] property to address unfinished HVAC work contracted with some other company or handyman, or downward sloping furnace exhaust, or missing inducer draft motor which is unavailable yet available, or poorly installed thermostats or a refrigerant leak or a dirty flame sensor we maintain a high level of integrity in the services we provide. We would be happy to find a resolution for Ms. [redacted]. We would be happy to meet with any other company on site that we and they can confirm what we have confirmed.  The Compressor is bad.We cannot however control when equipment may fail nor compel normal preventative maintenance the a homeowner should perform in order to avoid untimely failure of equipment.Best Regards,ChamSuperTec Heating & Cooling
