September 12, 2017Re: Complaint on BumpersGood AfternoonIn regards to the complaint on these bumpers. We were ask to sandblast & prime two bumpers our rates on the website are $150.00/hr for sandblasting, $100/hr for painting & $100/hr for body work. We sandblasted and primed with two coats...

of primer to insure proper and full coverage. Primer is $50/ gallon we used two gallons for two coats once again to insure full coverage. The coating that was to be removed from the bumpers was hard and took 1 1/2 hrs $225.00 for 1 bumper and 2 hours $300 for the other bumper. To prime with 1 coat was $75 each bumper. Steel was badly pitted so we put two coats on to ensure coverage at no extra charge to the customer. The rust that came out was from poor jagged welds & Butted steel that was welded on one side. the sand that was on the bumpers was dry sand that just needed to be wiped off, there was a lot of weld splatter not sand. When the customer called he was explained what the problem was, and that the butted steel and poor welds you cannot get primer under and to fix the problem you would need to grind the welds and to fix the butted steel you would need to weld both sides which will cost more. Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Firstly, it was sand that was left on the bumpers after being sprayed as you can clearly tell from the pictures not rust. Secondly the rust the so called professional company could not yet be wise of the welds I all got by using a paint brush so it was not that it could not be done it was just pure laziness. Third when they fully inspected it while doing the quote they gave me a price knowing it was going to take a certain time and as a professional company you do not do a job incomplete and take the customers money before telling them that the job needed more and was not finished and shipped it incomplete. The company and owner 100% ignored my calls after he took my money with out me knowing the job was not fully completed, and was told to get lost unless I gave him more money to finish the job which was suppose to be done properly the first time. [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]. I want  to be reimbursed a certain portion for the time and effort that I had to do to clean up and finish what I paid them to do.
Sincerely,

Customer got  what he paid for. Been in business 20 years first complaint clearly we know what we are doing. Phone calls were NOT ignored. we are concluding this matter no further response will be given have a good day
