Review: We have rented from this company for four years in a row. Last year we received a phone call the day we left with the company claiming that one of the beach chairs we had rented seemed to be missing. While we assured them that we had left all of our chairs in the same place, they claimed one was missing and that we had to pay the $25 fine. We did not feel we should be responsible but paid the invoice without complaint. This year we received a phone call four weeks after we had left claiming that the video baby monitor, which had come with two cameras, was missing. I assured them that I had returned it with the cameras, and the directions, in the same box and location in which I had found it. The manager later called and was quite hostile. When I asked why would someone steal a monitor she said she wanted me to tell her why. I told her I was not going to be responsible for an item that I returned more than a month ago. She told me she was going to send me an invoice for the video monitor, and if I did not pay it she would take me to court. She then hung up on me. To accuse me of stealing a $150 monitor when I had paid more to rent her beaten up items plus rent a home for a week costing more than $6K is very poor customer service. I am sorry her item is missing, but she should have insurance for such things other than accusing customers a month later. There is also no policy or liability document including in renting her items.Desired Settlement: I do not want to be liable for an item that I returned more than a month ago. I also want others to be aware that this company clearly has an inventory problem as well as a liability insurance problem.
