Surf Song Luxury Resort Motel

Review: I had booked a reservation with said resort and made it for 4/12 to 4/13. Then then asked for a deposit of $290 I asked why so much that I was only staying one night, the person told me it was just the way the computer generated it and charged me $145. I had recieved a call late Friday night 4/11 at about 10pm and was asked if I was still coming down. I then told her that my reservation was for Saturday night to Sunday, she then said ok no problem I will change it in the computer. My family arrived and checked in and went to our room (still no mention of 2 night stay). I wasen't till a few days later that I checked my bank record and realized that not only did I have the $145 charged but an additional 185.60 charged. I completely understand taxes so my dispute is the $145 for the second night. Several other parents also stayed at this resort and not one was charged for two nights. We were there for a cheer completion. When I called to inquire about the mistake the now RUDE lady said that I was told about the minimum 2 night stay (which I wasn't). I would have stayed else wear if I was going to be charged that kind of money (for less then 15 hours we stayed there).Desired Settlement: Would like my $145 refunded back to me for the 2nd night

[redacted] became the new Management Company for the Surf Song Beach Resort effective January 2014. We have taken great pride in rebuilding the business practices at the Surf Song and have received many compliments regarding the management, staff and overall improvements to the property. So in response to the statement from [redacted]l I would like to respond.

There was a cheer competition in the Wildwoods the weekend of April 11, 2014.

Most of our rooms were booked thru the Wildwood Convention Center all for a two

night minimum.

[redacted] did not book thru the Convention Center he booked directly with our on site manager and was well aware that there was a two night minimum for the weekend. His confirmation was also sent out reflecting the two night minimum.

When he did not show up by 9:30 pm on Friday April 11th the manager called him and was kind enough to extend his stay until Monday April 14th at which time [redacted] agreed. He paid a one night deposit of $145.00 upon making his reservation and then paid the balance due upon check in.

It is the policy at the Surf Song not to do one night rentals, during the off season, in which April would be considered we do two night minimum for the many conventions that vist the Surf Song Beach Resort.
