Surface Design Group

Review: We contracted with [redacted] and [redacted] @ Surface Design Group in July 2014 for interior design services on our newly purchased home that needed to be remodeled. In September 2014, we paid her in full for all our furniture that she was to order. We also paid her 3/4 of what she was owed for her services. She did not finish the job and did not purchase 75% of the furniture we paid her in full for 8 months ago. In February 2015, she and [redacted] stopped communicating with us and refused to give us our money back for goods not delivered and services not rendered. We filed fraud on our credit cards March 2015 for the furniture that was never purchased by her and got awarded all of that money back (roughly $18,000). We have hired an attorney to start the process to recover the remaining $8,000 she still owes us. She also has a team of workers (paint and carpet) that never made good on services and/or goods. Please do your homework on this company, [redacted] and [redacted] before hiring them. During our time with her, she asked us to write checks to [redacted] Smith Design, [redacted] Smith, [redacted] and Surface Design Group.Desired Settlement: We filed fraud on our CC's and got the money back for those purchases, but we are still out the money that we paid her for her services and the money that we paid for things by check or cash. That all totals about $8,000.00
