Review: I find this establishment to be less than one star; however, since you cannot post without giving a rating, I have one (even though they do not deserve even that). This is one of those establishments that you have to arrive more educated than the vet about what is going on with your pet or just leaving without an answer/resolution/solution/root cause or remedy. By way of example, I take my dog to the vet, Dr. [redacted] (owner), who just looks at my dog and says "yup, I just saw this with another dog...don't know what it is...there's really nothing you can do." So at that point I was thinking that if I don't start asking question, I will have spent 30 minutes in the waiting room and $49 to be told squat. Luckily, I had researched all the possible causes for my dog's ailment, to which he could not give a solid straight forward answer. I shouldn't have to dig for the information, he should be trying to figure it out. After all was asked, his solution...let's run blood tests including regular blood work, tick disease and MMM. What's ironic is that his direct quote was "were going to run the test for tick disease, but I don't think he has that." So then why run it because I am looking for a solution not to play a guessing games with my dog. Furthermore, when I asked what the cost for all of these tests would be, I was given an estimate from the doctor himself. I paid what I presumed half before I left. Now I've received a bill and its double what he quoted. Nice bait and switch. Now, Dr. [redacted] and his staff can it give me a simple reason or explanation as to why. This is why I am reporting to Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I'd like for Dr. [redacted] to honor his quote for costs for the tests, which was approximately half of what is in the paper invoices that are being sent. I'd gladly pay what was originally quoted.

Ms. [redacted] was seen once at the facility on 7-24-2013. She had been pleased with the services and understood that Dr. [redacted] was awaiting a consultation with a specialist on doing further diagnostics pertaining to her pet who was seen for a rapidly progressing neurological condition. After consulting with the board certified veterinary nerologist, at no charge to the owner, Ms. [redacted] was called at 7:49 pm, after normal business hours, and she approved the diagnostic blood tests recommended by the specialist and Dr. [redacted]. She was informed of the cost at that time. Due to the urgency from the progression of the pets condition an exception was made to our policy of "payment when services are received". Ms. [redacted] claimed that she was not informed of the charges and refuses to pay. All contacts with her take multiple attempts. Currently there has been a message left and we are again awaiting her return call. Please contact Ms. [redacted] and have her authorize Surfside Animal Hospital to release the record to Revdex.com.
