The Surge Dance Center refused my families service by email on Janafter a long weekend of allowing my daughter to compete for the teamWe have been victims of abusive behavior while fund raising by seat holders of the PTABecause of their position our complaints of the behavior fell on deaf earsIn turn we were punished for standing up for ourselvesWe had a meeting days before our refusal of business that cleared the table and we all agreed to move forwardOn Febthey fraudulently charged my checking account for over $This included upcoming competition fees for a competition in MarchAfter an entire day of going back and forth they finally removed these charges ( these charges were never paid out by them, they were trying to charge us for a fee that they haven't incurred yet)We also asked them to release solo competition fees for us to use independentlyThey did and at the first competition they protested our use of one of the solosUpon further reading into th

First, It clearly states in the Instructions from the Revdex.com to not use any personally Identifiable Information in your response. This is written in BOLD to draw attention to the importance of this process.
This complaint revolves around The Surge Dance Center’s lack of clear rules and defined actions, or the ones that are present are not well defined. They talk about their grief and time and financial loss. We, as the clients, were only at ONE organized meeting involving The Surge Dance Center. At that meeting all parties agreed to move on from there and that the table has been cleared.
At the center of this complaint is the treatment of our daughter and the rude behavior that an adult client of The Surge Dance Center showed towards her. The Surge Dance Center evaluates any complaint. There should be no evaluation. There should be clear rules and actions taken when a complaint is made. More efforts were made to figure out the process than to protect the children.
When it comes to the choreography; again, this should be clear. We were never provided a Policy Handbook. We should not have to go in circles as to how this is handled. This is very unclear how its written and the response. Since we have a contract with The Surge Dance Center and so does the choreographer then in turn The Surge Dance Center owns the choreography? There is no copyright to this choreography. Where is The Surge Dance Center’s application for copyright?
It is anybody’s right to contact the Revdex.com regardless of any other legal actions taking place.
Regarding the slander from The Surge Dance Center; we have voice recording of an illegal meeting between The Surge Dance Center, its teachers and the parents of the Voltage Performing Team held on Monday Jan.4th This recording is proof that they are not telling the parents factual responses as to why my family is no longer at the studio. Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
The Surge Dance Center has yet to provide sound proof of their policies regarding fees owed to a family that is asked to leave and solo ownership. They can cut and paste specific information from the RCW, but they fail to do so with their own documentation. Below is copy from our lawyer's letter. We have offered to settle for a reasonable amount.
Thank you for your letter. Unfortunately it seems you have been misinformed by your client. The [redacted] family did not quit nor fail to perform. Simply put, they were unilaterally terminated as clients. The contract I have been provided lists penalties and forfeitures for students who quit the program only, making the contract vague as to refunds. As you know, Courts will not supply nor read into a contract those terms which are missing. See, [redacted], Inc. v. [redacted] . Moreover, ambiguities are construed against the drafter of the contract . [redacted] Regarding the solo ownership: again, the policies and contract are not clearly defined. If you have some legal authority which supports your position that my clients are subject to a contract solely between Surge Dance and Ms. [redacted] then I would like to see that. My client's were not a party nor anticipated to be a benefitting party to that contract and are therefore not obligated thereunder. [redacted] My clients legally filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. You should know we have audio recordings between Surge Dance and its teachers and parents of the Voltage Performing Team held Monday, January 4 . The recording is clear that Surge Dance has misled others as to why the [redacted] family were no longer at the studio, including disparaging and rude comments about the [redacted]' s in general . Rather than drag this out my clients are willing to accept a final offer of $759.93. This amount inculdes the $412.43 that was mis—charged against the [redacted] and half of the remaining fees of $347.50. The Surge Dance Studio and Ms. [redacted] will likewise release all rights to the [redacted] Solo.Sincerely,[redacted]

To Whom It May Concern:
All of the matters outlined in the above response have been previously addressed. The Surge Dance Centers Policy's can be found at www.thesurgedancecenter.com. At the time of committing to the Voltage Team, clients sign a commitment agreement that references the Policy's outlined in the Voltage Policy Handbook  that clients are provided. Surge also holds three presentations a year to go over those policies before a family commits to the Voltage Team. The family that is complaining attended one of these meetings before signing the contract and received a policy handbook as an attendee.  If, at anytime, a client has miss placed the Voltage Policy Handbook, a new copy will be provided upon request. For reference, I attempted to attach the 18 plus page document to this correspondance, however the website would not allow the size of the file to be uploaded. Please email me personally to request a copy.  Additionally, any contracts between the complaining family and The Surge Dance Center can be provide upon request by the Revdex.com.
The Surge Dance Center never held an illegal meeting.  If the complaining family had someone record discussions of our Voltage Team Parent meeting without everyone's consent who was participating in that meeting, then that recording is illegal.
