Review: My husband had a procedure done in March of 2014. There was an overpayment for services at the facility. I spoke with the facility in March inquring about the cost of the procedure. Soon after,the facility/billing shared with us there was indeed an overpayment of $496.16. We knew the procedure for processing a refund would be not be immediate. Four month later in July 2014, I phoned back to ask the status of the refund, they informed me they had approved the refund and that the refund check would follow. Ultimately, I called again another month later in August and demanded I be copied on the correspondence regarding the refund. I finally got names to follow up with. I was in touch with [redacted] that emailed back on August 8, 2014 that the refund check would come and to please allow two weeks. I waited the two weeks and still no refund check. I called [redacted], which is the Regional Business Office Manager and she stated the check was mailed on August 22, 2014. "Please allow some time to come to you. Expect it in about a week. More than a week has passed. It is now September 2014 and still no refund check. It has been 6 months since my first inquiry regarding my refund, 2 months from the date the refund was approved, and 3 weeks since I spoke with the Regional Business Manager for SCA surgery. I wrote them an email below just today requesting an response :[redacted], [redacted] and to whom it may concern:I left a voicemail this morning requesting a response. I am asking for a response to the refund check of $496.16. We spoke verbally on August 22, because I didn't get the check in the two weeks you mentioned in the email below. When we spoke on August 22, 2014 you said the check was mailed on August 22, 2014. You also said to allow some time. I allowed more than 1 week. It has been more than a week and still no refund check. From what was shared with me, the approval for the refund dates back to July 2014. And to further demonstrate your organizations lack of competency, I phoned about the refund back in March 2014. I have more than patient and understanding but this is ridiculous, upsetting and frustrating. I plan to escalate this immediately if I don't hear from you on this matter. Regards,Desired Settlement: I would like the refund check sent immediately as there are still costs involved pertaining to the same procedure. I would like to get a tracking number given to me so we can track the status of refund check.
