Surprise Ford Reviews (26)

On Saturday 6-25-16, after looking online at their website, I get a call from an Internet Sales Manager named John. Now John seemed to stand out from other calls I got in that he was more aggressive in compelling me to come down to their dealership lot. I actually used my proof of income as a means to justify not going there (unemployed), but he said that creditors may accept my vehicle I own as a down payment for pre-approval. Anyways, he made it sound like he has a special deal for me on my Ford Fiesta inquiry by saying they have a lot of them on their inventory (true). So I gullibly trusted John to give me a good deal.

He played me as a fool and took advantage of my ignorance and ripped me off.

They played the numbers game well. And kept me in the dark about actually finding out the total price of my car until after all the contracts were signed and I regrettably read about them later on afterwards at home. They had me sign dealer add-ons by telling me how great they are, but never mentioning the price. So when I found out how much my Upside Down Loan amounted to, I could of got a 2016 Ford Fiesta for the price I paid for a 2013 Ford Fiesta with 24k miles on it. I owe about $13,000 for this 2013 Fiesta, before I took my own initiative by calling the dealer add on personally before they dropped the charge. They said the dealership never contacted them about this after I personally went there and signed the cancellation paperwork. These people are dishonest crooks and snakes who will take advantage of you if you let them. Be aware and avoid them unless you're prepared first. Know exactly what the trade in value of your car is worth first (KBB). And also know exactly what type of vehicle you want and then research the dealer cost of how much it is really worth before you step foot into their lot and negotiate with them. Don't tell them you're trading in your car. If they ask, say you'll discuss that later after you negotiate the price of the car you want to buy first. Then after you negotiate the price of the car you want to buy, then mention your trade. And don't let them rip you off on your trade. If you own it outright, you have more control. Get a better trade offer somewhere else if they don't give you what the value of its worth. Get several offers from other dealerships for it instead and be ready to walk away from their deal. That's your greatest weapon of defense against them. Read everything inside your contract and fully understand it first before you take their word, and sign it first.

Well should have read the reviews first. Everyone kept telling me not to go to Ford but I said "hey growing up that is all my dad bought, Ford" So I traded my low mileage Hyundai for a 2016 Ford Escape that I have been looking at for 4 months now. Hyundai was always offering me deals on Tuscon or Santa Fe but nope I wanted a Ford Escape even though Hyundai had a better warranty.

So I got the Escape had it for two weeks get a call from finance to come in and sign some more paper work, (a lie). Get there they wanted to put me in another car stating the bank would not finance deal. But I could get financed for another car not a SUV and come back in 6 months and get the deal. Why would I now believe anything they say and drive a car I am not even a little happy with. "Give me back my Hyundai 2012 low mileage and I will go to HYUNDAI." I had already given four people the sales Rep Name he was great. Well sorry guy but I had to call my friends and coworker and tell them no way go to Ford.

I would have appreciated a bit more honesty from the Dealership, I would have preferred to leave the car until they were sure the car was financed if I knew this, I signed my papers, was congratulated by many people working there on my new purchase, and even received a call welcoming me the Ford family. Well needless to say I am glad to be adopted out by another family. This one SUCKS!!!

BAD BUSINESS.

They had my car nearly two weeks you have to be kidding me. I go to the Website and the reviews were not good from financing to sales.

My 2014 Ford Focus had a problem with the transmission (as all 2014 Ford Focus' do) I was told a part was on back order and it would be about 3-4 weeks. After 3 weeks I called and was told my part was not in but several other customers had failed to use their parts and they would fix mine with one of those. I then made an appointment for 8:20 am on Wed July 13th. The original service adviser I was working with no longer worked there (lucky him) and a young woman helped me. She said she would have to keep the car for 1/2 the day and I said fine. At no time did she mention that the service department was days behind. The end result was they have had my car for three days and several slips of the tongue indicate to me that they were not truthful about why. FORD info on this well-known problem with this transmission indicates a one day turn around time.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. They didn't offer me anything less than they would have offered any other person off the street. The ad was clearly a bait and switch scam to get people in the door as was the oil change listed at a low price then billed for more than twice that amount. It was not "offered to me" for my time as they quoted, but given to me after the fact because of the scene I made when I saw I had been scammed TWICE in 1 day! Which by the way, the oil LEAKS now from my drain plug thanks guys!!! They brought me in twice only to quote me the SAME price. No discounts as they stated above. They can apologize all day long but that doesn't justify the false advertisement to get me and others into their store AND the fake "Winner" card they mailed me. Every part of that business was a lie. They truly live up to the "Used" car salesman rep.. I have bought many new cars and never been outright lied to like this. They are not willing to back the ad they mailed to me. I will make sure every one knows just how they do business!Regards,Steven [redacted]

This complaint should of been closed.  Surprise Ford did this customer a genuine favor and referred them to a facility that only does sun roof repair.  This, as the customer stated saved them 1000's of dollars.  The parts the customer is claiming he already replaced anyway, were never on the car according to the mechanic and advisor that inspected the car when it was at Surprise Ford.  Surprise Ford offered to give the parts requested at cost, which are more expensive than non-factory, because they are better and usually come with a better warranty.

Surprise Ford refused to repair radio and Sync problem of my car, even though they sold me an expensive extended warranty to cover such issues. Their customer service representatives behaved in an unprofessional and unhelpful manner. I took my car to the dealership twice for the same problem and they refused to do anything about it. Their so-called master technician refused to try any kind of fix on the problem. He just said there is nothing wrong with it, even though this problem falls under the category of safety issue and could be the cause an accident.
