Review: We write this complaint after a denied request for reimbursement of deposit for Promotional Services. Our reason is simply that the terms of our agreement were not fulfilled. By the recommendation of a third party agent we trusted our media and internet representation to this firm. We began this agreement at the end of July and received very little support to launch our artist as requested. In fact, we found errors in the completed press release and disappointment in the limited exposure granted to our artist. We have spoken to [redacted] and [redacted] and complained about this situation, as a result we were promised 30 days of service to demonstrate good faith. No service was provided after this point. Therefore, As a result of the failure to perform and broken promise by [redacted] the COO of your firm we request a full reimbursement of our deposit. We were promised: Publicity Objectives:The following lists goals to ensure a successful media campaign for our artist: Increase presence in music, lifestyle and entertainment media. (not performed) Showcase the artist behind the music and pursue consistent coverage with publications to increase awareness and visibility for artist. (not performed) Increase presence in Pop and Urban media. (not performed) Work in conjunction with management to prepare detailed strategies surrounding music and projects while ensuring a consistent presence inappropriate lifestyle & entertainment media. (not performed) Beginning with his next single, pursue coverage for it and all subsequent singles, features, videos, appearances, and tours. (not performed) Highlight various interests beyond recording (writing, producing, etc.),his dedication to family and his art, pitching him to outlets that help bring those interests and connections to light. (not performed) Focus on generating pieces, performances and stories timed to future releases.(not performed)Further, no contract was signed due to no demonstration of interest to perform as agreed.Desired Settlement: We request full reimbursement of the deposit given of $5,000 for failure to perform as agreed.

[redacted] has operated as a respected and renowned Public Relations firm for over twenty-five years servicing a wide range of clients in various fields. In our history we have had a strong track record in delivering successful media relations campaigns for all of our clients.

When [redacted] ([redacted]) team approached [redacted], Inc. to represent the artist (a young musician looking to increase his profile in the music industry and media), SBI informed them that there are no guarantees within this industry and results come down to the best efforts of the staff and the collaboration between SBI and [redacted]’s camp. [redacted]’s team was also informed that building an artist was a process and that results could not be expected immediately. Work commenced on August *, 2013 with the plan of accomplishing what was proposed over the course of a one-year agreement. Despite this information being delivered and accepted, very quickly into the start of the campaign SBI began having difficulties with [redacted]’s management team who would call and berate the Account team for a perceived lack of results. Despite this, SBI continued working diligently and was able to secure four placements that ran in under one month's time (including influent ial industry outlet [redacted]) and two additional pending placements that would have come to fruition had the campaign continued. Additionally, SBI reached out to a wide variety of media outlets to attempt and secure more press for [redacted] but [redacted]’s team was impossibly impatient and regularly took up the Account team's time and energy with negative and repetitive calls. At the end of one month of the initial term, SBI made the decision to end the relationship with I AM [redacted] as we did not feel we could continue to work together due to their attitude.

Soon after, I AM [redacted]'s team re-approached SBI and requested that we re-engage, agreeing to be more amicable and appropriate in the working relationship. SBI agreed should a contract be signed and new funds for new work be delivered. A second agreement with a start date of September **, 2013 was delivered to [redacted]’s representatives. This never came to fruition, as we never received back funds or the signed agreement, but considering that [redacted]’s management was willing and interested in re-engaging they must have seen the value our Company brought during the initial 30 days.

All in, this complaint is completely unfounded. SBI's promise of best efforts and the resources of our Company were delivered ten fold. Excessive work was done on behalf of [redacted] and their inability to collaborate or understand the process it takes to build an artist's press profile, with which we have over 25 years of experience, made continuing to work with them impossible which is why we, as a Company, ended [redacted]’s term. [redacted] deserves no refund and any attempt to procure one is simply a slanderous attempt at SBI and showcases a continued pattern of unprofessionalism that caused us to part ways in the first place. We wish I AM [redacted] the best of luck in his future endeavors but stand by our level of service and more importantly the amount of time, man power and effort that went into servicing this account for the 30 day period, fully justifying our agreed upon $5000 fee. All of the items listed in the complaint, lifted from our proposal, were in the process of happening and would have occurred had [redacted] given the agreed upon opportunity to SBI.
