Our office of Susan MM [redacted] , DDS is writing in regards to the complaint made by the [redacted] familyIt isto our understanding the complaint was made based on the distinction between "participating" or"accepting" of an insuranceA participating provider is when a fee is agreed upon between theinsurance company and the provider at a reduced rateAccepting an insurance means we are willing tobill the insurance and accept insurance paymentIn either case the patient is still responsible for anyfees that are not paid or covered by the insuranceWhile we are apologetic for the confusion interminology however, it is the patients due diligence to contact their insurance company for detailsregarding coverageUpon becoming a new patient at our office a financial policy is signed statingwhatever the insurance company does not cover the remainder is the patient's responsibilityOtheroffices in our area collect payment in full at time of service, which requires the patient to submit theinsurance forms for reimbursement regardless of practitioner participationUnlike those offices, weoffer a courtesy to our patients of submitting and receiving payment from the insurance beforecollecting any funds from the patientMr [redacted] also states that our website is not clear, however our website merely states that we acceptLifetime Benefit Solutions, as we doWe treat many patients with the same insurance and employer andhave never had this issue prior to this complaintIt is to our understanding Mr [redacted] did make contactwith his insurance company about participating providers, had he asked the insurance about Dr.M [redacted] , they would have informed him that we are not in networkAt the time Mr [redacted] called ouroffice to inquire about his balance we apologized for the misunderstanding with the insurance, he neverasked how we could resolve the issueMrs [redacted] has been personally acquainted with the M [redacted] family for over a decadeMr [redacted] didn't attempt to resolve this issue with our office or DrM [redacted] before proceeding with a complaint to the Revdex.comWe strive to make every effort incollaboration with our patients to make payment options; we would have done the same for Mr***.Sincerely, Susan MM [redacted] , DDS, PC

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  At this time I would like to rescind my complaint.  Although I had tried to talk with the business, I was not able to talk with the owner.  I am confident we will come to an acceptable agreement. Please close and retract my complaint.
