Review: My father and I have been buying items from the companies online auction for a few months, her employees know us by face. We had bought from 2 auctions ending 6/21 and 6/22, I made an error on the pick date for the 1st one, called the store and they put me in touch with gentlemen that handles the auctions and said there was nothing he could do that we were out our money and the items purchased. I spoke with the receptionist and said she would speak with the owner, the owner came onto the phone very rudely and explained the instructions were on the paper and that was the end of it, but if I could pay her $200 she could retrieve the items for me.

2nd issue is that some of the pictures on the site are a bit mis-leading, we bought 2 ginger lamps picture showed no damage however upon picking items up one of the lamps had a large piece missing off the back. There was also a Rattan Sofa that a fake plant had been placed over the ripped seat cushion (I have pictures if needed), lastly was a painting that you could see had visible damage to the frame however there did not appear to have any damage to the photo itself, once picked up there was a noticeable whole.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the items we purchased, obviously have them if I had $200 to give the company. Also I would like to see something done about how they represent the items photographed so bidding can be fair. I would like to note that the company does state that no refund will be made however it also states that you must have a picture ID with you when picking up these items which is not performed from the first time we picked up items. If you make rules does not seem fair to only enforce the ones that make you profit.

Response:

Dear Ms. [redacted]: More Than Moving For Seniors, Inc. I am replying to the letter from the Revdex.com to Susan's

Selections, dated July 6, 2015. The complaint was filed by Ms. [redacted] and

concerned items she bid on in an internet auction that we conducted in a

client's home. When people register to bid on one of our internet auctions,

they agree to the terms and conditions described in the auction. One of the

terms gives the date when winning bidders can pick up the items they won. Also

in the terms it states, "Lots which are not picked up will be considered

abandoned and will be disposed of at the auctioneer's sole discretion."

Ms. [redacted] was aware of this when she registered and admitted repeatedly in

phone conversations that she made the mistake by not picking up her items at

the described time for pick up. The auction items were valued at $28 plus sales

tax and a 15% buyer's premium (total of $33-91) and were in a client's home and

Susan's Selections didn't have access to the client's home after the pick-up

date of the auction. Ms. [redacted] was aware of our policies, as she had bid on

previous auctions. She had been told by four members of our staff that based on

our policy·, her items were abandoned. Susan's Selections acted in a

professional manner throughout this situation and believes that we have done

nothing inappropriate. To mitigate this situation, Susan's Selections is

willing to refund Ms. Brown's bid of $33.91 - only because it seems to be the

most efficient way to resolve this concern. Ms. [redacted] states in the complaint

that the disputed amount is $263.11. The amount of the abandoned items is

$33-91 - the invoice is enclosed. The difference in the two amounts ($229.20)

is not defined and Susan's Selections believes it does not owe Ms. [redacted] this amount.

Review: I brought several items to Susan's Selections to sell on consignment. Several items were sold (mid Nov, 2015). I am still awaiting my 60-61.00. I believed my money would be coming in one month. After several phone calls ad e-mails I was told I would receive my money in 60 days, towards the end of Jan. The first week in Feb I e-mailed my contact at this company again and also called and spoke to another staff. Within a week I was told the check would be mailed Friday Feb 12. As of today, Feb 18 I am still awaiting my money from items that sold mid Nov. 2015. I will no longer be a consignee at this company but I want my money.Desired Settlement: I would like the 60-61.00 owed me by the sale for items they sold on consignment: 2 leather covered trays and 4 Waterford water goblets.

Ms. [redacted] was scheduled for payment in advance of receiving the Revdex.com complaint. In fact, a check for the full amount due, $60.25, was mailed to Ms. [redacted] on February 22, 2016. We regret the delay and her concern.
