Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2017/06/30) */
As a long standing reputable business with over years in the market ET Mechanical works to have a positive relationship with all our clients and neighbors
Its unfortunate when a situation cannot be resolved however every attempt was made
prior to it reaching this stage
Many factors go into pricing that are often invisible to the average consumer
While we appreciate the consumer has one point of view clearly even after our attempts to resolve this issue its a difference of opinion that he has not been open to hearing what other factors need to be taken into consideration when running a business and pricing accordingly
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2017/07/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I DO NOT ACCEPT ET MECHANICALS EXPLANATION FOR UNEXPLAINED INFLATED PRICING AND BILLING! First, ET Mechanical has ONLY been an Accreditation Revdex.com business for less than 4yrs having been accredited 20/08/2013, not the years that they are claimingSecond, their explanation for this unresolved dispute is as insulting and condescending now, as it was when we discussed it over the phoneClaiming that I/this consumer is too ignorant and incapable to perform due diligence when considering a very large purchase is telling your customers they should blindly go into business with you with frivolous faithI requested three times for a break down of your $*** quote times, once each with salesman, manager and ownertimes I was given nothing further than what was in my original complaint letterI understand through "life experience" full well what goes into running a business and know that a reputable business will not fear a simple request to break down chargesI find your explanation that I simply don't comprehend the factors is in my opinion, a dodge and attempt to be deceptiveI request that Revdex.com look further into ET Mechanicles billing practices when they are marking up a unit/item Almost and a half times the cost, that I can "competently" aquire from the same supplier used by ET Mechanicle$*** charge for a $*** item is not acceptablePlease explain or BREAK DOWN the remaining charges of $*** for parts and $*** Labor (Hrs and rate)A total amount of $*** + TaxI managed to competently find someone who is competently doing the work for $*** Taxes included for the exact same work and materials that I requested from ET MechanicleTelling me that the reason for such high pricing is a desire to pay great wages and benefits for their employees and that they are so superior to the competition may have merit (unlikely) however, its unknown because they were unwilling to be transperant and confidently and morally break down their billing, requested by myself, a REPUTABLE CUSTOMERRevdex.com please investigate ET Mechanicles business and billing practices

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/03/07) */
On March 5 the service technician attended the clients home and began the process of identifying the issue with the ducted heat pump. The initial finding was that the client had failed to maintain the unit as prescribed . As with any air to air...

heat pump snow needs to be kept clear of the unit in order to allow it to breath and to effectively go thru the defrost process. The client had failed to make arrangements to clear the snow away from the heat pump during time away the month of March 2015 and as records will show the area in question had significant snowfall during this period.
The prescribed installation for the equipment as noted in the installation manual does not include any mandated height of installation, nor any reference to it. We followed the industry standard and installed the unit on a Snow Stand which allowed approximately 17 inches of clearance to the ground. The snow has to be cleared away regularly to allow for moisture to drain from the unit as it goes thru the defrost process. Inevitably if snow is not cleared away it will cause the moisture to freeze and eventually the unit will become frozen and cause damage to the unit.
As evidence in this case not clearing the snow regularly as prescribed can damage the equipment. This damage is from neglect not from anything to do with the install. While we are sympathetic which was reflected in the pricing and in the accommodation in billing and services provided we do not accept any fault.
