September 29, 2015Regarding Customer Complaint concerning Service issues, the Susquehanna Valley Pre-Owned Motors prides itself of quality customer service. Regarding this specific issue; the purchase of a 2003 [redacted] in July 2015 - the following occurred and explanation is...

provided,This 2003 [redacted] was purchased for $3500. With all purchases come an option for a power train warranty - 3 months 3000 miles covering drive train only. The customer did sign the agreement to this warranty. Copies of the agreement were given to the Customer and on file at Susquehanna Valley Pre-Owned Motors. The procedure if there is an issue related to the car is clearly stated that the customer is to have the car looked at by SQVPM's mechanic and work done by this mechanic or a shop authorized by the dealer,
Prior to purchasing this vehicle, the customer test drove the vehicle and was happy with how the vehicle drove and operated and physically appeared. The customer expressed no concerns at the time of purchase,
Specifically, the customer contacted Susquehanna Valley Pre-Owned Motors complaining of an issue related to the exhaust system, Susquehanna Valley Pre-Owned Motors (SVPM) agreed to cover the cost because customersatisfaction is important, although this is not an item typically covered by a powertrain warranty, The customer gave the bill to SVPM and a check was made to reimburse the customer the cost of this repair.
Following this, the purchasers called again about additional issues with the car, Joseph M[redacted] explained that these were additional repairs that were not covered by the powertrain warranty and that payment had already been made for one other issue that was not covered by warranty as a courtesy to the customers, The customer called again and stated that they would callback. The Customer never called back until after the work was completed. The customers appear to have gone ahead and made repairs to the vehicle and are now requesting payment for thoserepairs,
Since warranty is outlined in specific terms that the warranty is a drive train warranty, and the items that they claim needed to be repaired are outside of the scope of the warranty, no refund or compensation was granted, in addition, the customers had word done without prior authorization from Susquehanna Valley Pre-Owned Motors nor at an approved or authorized by SQVPM service mechanic. The customers purchased a pre-owned vehicle at a competitive price with an understanding of the terms of the warranty and of the sale. One in kind reimbursement was made for the repair/replacement of an exhaust system because the business believes that customer satisfaction is important,
Sincerely,
Joseph M.,
Owner
