Services provided for inpatientDr. Broutski, Vassili came to visit me in the hospital because he was covering my doctor. Sutter health sutter medical foundation sent me a bill for $622.00. My insurance company did not pay this bill because he is not in network with my insurance company. I went back and forth with sutter's billing and my insurance company. Anyhow, I had to pay this bill, because they were going to send me to collection agency. I really don't think that as in patient that it was my responsibility to make sure that the doctor was in network. This doctor saw me for 2 minutes for 2 visits and cost me $622.00. I'm very disappointed with sutter 's way of doing things. H. janda
Review: Sutter Health is quick to send account to collections but slow in responding to their billing errors.
Review: I needed to establish a new healthcare provider in the area I moved to. I was referred to a local doctor and called to make an appointment. This clinic will not take patients without insurance so my insurance information was discussed and I was assured that they take my insurance. I went to my appointment and was scheduled for a mammogram. Three weeks later, after the mammogram, I get a bill for services rendered and the insurance company had not paid anything. I called the clinic and they told me that the reason my insurance had not paid was because it went towards my deductible. I told them I don't have a deductible and they said I needed to call my insurance company. I did this and was told that that clinic was not in their network. I called the clinic back and they said they were so sorry for the mistake but there was nothing they could do about it. I pay $630 a month for my insurance and I do not think I should have to pay for the care I received there because of their error.Desired Settlement: I should not have to pay for the clinic's error.
