I...

have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have a letter from mechanic stating the fact that the door has been this way for some time. Glass fragments were found and brought to dealers attention in April when the car was brought back withindays after purchase. Dealer States in response she offered to cover repair costs. This is an untrue statement. I did not damage the door and am appalled she would even suggest such.
Regards,
[redacted]

The door was ok when she bought the car. The car was inspected after she purchased it and passed the state safety inspection. We feel that Ms. [redacted] damaged the door and we offered to have the door fixed at our cost. The car was purchased as is and she did not want to pay for the repair.

My husband and I had been on the search for a new car for a little over 6 months, when we happened across [redacted]'s Auto Center Via the internet. We decided to give her a shot and boy were we surprised when we discovered the lack of professionalism involved with this staff. Upon arrival (our first initial meeting) we found an adorable 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid. We asked for the car fax and low and behold, the information on the paper we were given, was not legit. There were 10,000 miles on this car that could not be accounted for via the car fax. When we asked for the documentation for those miles, [redacted] herself, fast talked us to the point of not receiving what we had previously asked her for. [redacted] mentioned that she was the one who applied all 10,000 of these miles via several trips to the mountains and that she herself, had NO issues concerning the car. In fact she actually stated "I'd keep this car for me if I could". My husband and I ended up purchasing this car from this establishment and low and behold less than 15 hours later, the engine light came on, the catalytic converter kit had gone out. We called [redacted] and informed her of this issue and thus our troubles began. She stated that she would fix this car, but we would have to pay her for the labor. We researched the price of the part that was needed, as it turned out, we still ended up paying for said part and the labor involved. Keep in mind that we literally just purchased this car 15 hours prior...Now step two, we met her alleged top mechanic [redacted] (from Toyota) supposedly the best in the line etc... Simply not true. His only skill it seems is to reset the engine light just long enough for you to leave the car lot. 30 minutes later, the light is right back on. These two have a wonderful game of good cop/bad cop going with their customers. She will say "I will pay for the part and labor will be free" however, [redacted] will double charge you for the part, in return still getting paid for the labor. [redacted] claimed to order the part for our car in February and after numerous phone calls, we were unable to contact him. His reasoning "I was going through a custody battle with my child". At this point the only way I was able to contact this mechanic was to block my number and try for an answer. Here it is April and we were FINALLY able to contact [redacted] and he stated that our part had finally arrived and for us to bring the car down for him to repair it. My husband took off of work to make the 45 minute drive to this establishment and dropped the car off for said repairs. Only to receive another phone call the very next day, with [redacted] informing us that he had NOT fixed the car, because he did NOT have the correct part. Now we asked [redacted] if this part could be purchased at [redacted] and he replied "no", but that the company he orders the part from would be open on Monday and to give him a call before 11am to have him order it. He stated that the part would cost 320.00 That did not sit well with us, so we made our own phone calls! To no surprise, [redacted] DID have the exact same part and it only costed 156.00 Now, with the supposed free labor, where was this other money going? We have made countless 45 minute trips to this establishment, only to be lied to over and over. I will not ever recommend this dealership to any of my friends or family. I just simply would not want anyone I know having to deal with the flat out rudeness of their secretary [redacted] their useless mechanic [redacted], and the blatant disrespect from [redacted] herself. We feel as though we have wasted 5,500.00 of our hard earned money. This place seems to be very "fly by night" when it comes to any concern over your purchase. Once they have money in hand, your engine problems are no concern of theirs. I would definitely suggest shopping around at ANY other location before entertaining this establishment.

Review: Sold vehicle with defective driver door. Took to mechanic and was informed vehicle was unsafe to drive. Driver door hinge broke off, leaving only a bolt and nut holding door on. Obvious attempt to repair was apparent but unprofessional. Serious safety issue for driver and other motorest. Glass fragments falling out of door bottom. Vehicle was sold as is but safety issues are implied warrenties. Dealer was rude and took vehicle to her mechanic to repair without letting us know we would be responsible for costs. Refused to bring car back to dealership when I informed her I would not pay. I called previous day to inform them of issue and was told to bring it following morning and they would take care of it. This vehicle also left me stranded in parking lot one week after purchase.Desired Settlement: Desired settlement would be monetery costs associated with having door properly repaired. Due to the fact that the dealership refused to bring the car back to the lot, I do not trust them with my vehicle. I wish to have no further dealings with the rude, unprofessionalism of dealer or their associates.
