Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 12, 2016/04/20) */ Elantra this is my response to mr fords complaint mr [redacted] called on 3-14-and spoke to meI gave Mr [redacted] a quote on installing his wheel bearing for $for the labor he dais ok, and that he would drop it off in the morning (3-15-16) I began the repair with a test drive I noticed the wheel bearing was going bad (making a whirring noise) and that the car was very hard to keep on the roadI brought the car into the shop and took the wheel off to continue the inspectionI then notice that someone had been in behind the wheel and tried t make a repair in actuality they did more damage that anything the bolts holding the spindle to the strut were stripped and the threads on the ball joint were ruined the ball joint was resting in the control arm so I then went to mike to discuss the jobmike then called mr [redacted] and told him that the labor would increase to $because of the extra damage AND did not inform me of the price change till after I talked to mr [redacted] for the second timewhen I spoke to mr [redacted] the second time I mistakenly told mr [redacted] the wrong price I told him $for the labor and the balljoint and that the part had to be ordered and that it wouldn't be ready till the following day then I told mike after he returned from lunch that I spoke to mr [redacted] and that I told mr [redacted] that it was going to be $mike then informed me that that was incorrect so mike called mr [redacted] to tell him that $was not correct and that it was $labor plus the cost of the balljoint mike said to me that mr frord agreed to the price and said continue with the wrk I then replaced the bearing and balljoint put the car back together and gaave it a final test drive the car performed very well the noise was gone from the bearing and it no longer was hard to keep on the road [redacted] 3-24- Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 14, 2016/05/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not agree with this response because [redacted] told me it would be $plus the cost of the parts which came to I think when I talk to [redacted] I told him what [redacted] said he said well okay that's what we'll have to do them because that's what he told you I never agreed to plus parts that is a lie [redacted] told me that it wouldn't be any charge for labor because everything would already be off that's why it would be no cost for labor thank you so much

I do not agree with this response because [redacted] told me it would be $150 plus the cost of the parts which came to 220 I think when I talk to [redacted] I told him what [redacted] said he said well okay that's what we'll have to do them because that's what he told you I never agreed to 220 plus parts that is a lie [redacted] told me that it wouldn't be any charge for labor because everything would already be off that's why it would be no cost for labor thank you so much
