The issue of the leaking heater core is supposedly fixed at this time. Per *** at SVS the coolant in the floor on the driver's side is left from the puddle before the fix and after their vacuum of the wasted coolant on the cabin of the carHence the green coolant was appearing through the carpet on the drivers side of the carThe missing petcock drain valve was replaced by *** with a screw and washer type drain plug for the radiator(*** originally felt they needed to put in a whole new radiator an additional $job because of a missing drain valve), but apparently *** had a better solution to use a screw valve that fits the current radiator in the car. The screw took less than a minutes to install.We will monitor the car this week for leaking. Hopefully, this is complete.Thanks so much for your help,*** ***

Review: SVS Sacramento [redacted] Service in Sacramento, Ca. on Fulton Ave. charged $733.19 to replace the heater core (they called this the heat exchange in the paid invoice) in my 1998 S70 [redacted]. We dropped the car off on Friday May 6, 2016 around 2pm and they did not start the repair until Monday May 9, 2016. They supposedly fixed a leak of antifreeze/coolant that was coming inside the car onto the floor of the car. They identified the leak as coming from the heater core. However, after taking the car on a drive from Sacramento to Roseville, Ca. on May 10, 2016 the car is still leaking coolant onto the floor of the driver's side.

[redacted] and [redacted] are the attendants that said that the car had a radiator leak (after they charged us $733.19 for the heater core). They said the petcock drain valve was missing from the radiator and that the part could not be purchased so the only fix that they new of would be to charge us another $800 to put in another radiator. (By the way, the radiator that is in the car is new currently.)

Apparently, they did not fix the heater core. It is not clear what happen to the petcock drain valve. it was on the radiator prior to the car going to their shop. By the way, the petcock drain valve we found on [redacted] for $10.95 so we told them that we were not going to allow them to replace the radiator when the part that they said could not be purchased separately was available in stock on [redacted].

Several months ago we paid them a little less than $5000.00 to put a new engine in the car. The windshield starting fogging up after they put the engine in. It is possible the heater core was leaking then but they did notDesired Settlement: I no longer trust these people to do any work on my car. I think they should refund the money. After they tried t get another $800.00 from me, I decided to get quotes on replacing the heater core and found several shops that quoted about $400 less than their shop. When I questioned them about the cost of the parts and the labor they said it took 3 hours to repair ( youtube has a 12 minute video showing a similar repair). As well other shops said that it would be less than 2 hours to repair.
