Review: The vehicle was purchased with the sole intention of towing a fifth-wheeler RV. Two weeks after purchase of a vehicle, fist time towing the RV on a Christmas family trip, about 50 miles from the house, the vehicle started to indicate "Filter cleaning", "reduce engine speed" and the engine temperature sky rocket it. We had to stop multiple time just to get ourselves to a gas station. We turned around and headed back home. Due to Christmas break, we took the vehicle in for a diagnostic to [redacted] dealership (located in [redacted]). Through the diagnostic, we were informed that the Oil cooler was clogged and that it needed to be replaced. I asked my daughter to ask the service personnel at the [redacted] dealer if this could have been done by driving/towing 200 miles. He said it could not. He also asked how long we had the vehicle and if we had warranty. After verifying, he said the car was too newly purchased to utilize the warranty. He suggested that we take the vehicle right back to the dealer and inform them of the situation and have it repaired. I requested my daughter to contact the dealer because my English isn’t very good. She spoke to Ivan and also e-mailed him the diagnostic report par his request to his e-mail; [redacted]. He never called back for update. Three days later, on 12/30/15, she called back to ask about the result and Ivan informed that they can only pay 50% of the part, labor and all other fees that may generate for the repair, and that we have to go to their designated auto shop. Then she complained that the vehicle was sold to me in bad condition and that I was not going to pay any part of the repair, and he then yelled at her that he was trying to help me, yet she had bad attitude toward his assistance, and that he will not not help us and not repair the vehicle in any way. Then he hung-up the phone.Desired Settlement: We have already placed the vehicle to be repaired, thus Refund the Total amount of the Cost of the Repair and make documented, formal apology letter, addressing both myself and my daughter.

Review: I bought a car at this dealership Cypress Motors a BMW 2008 in September 2014 for $17, 480.00 for my 18 years son for school, did a trade in with my son's car, and paid $9,000.00 cash to pay-off the car. After all the paperwork was sign, we road test the car and notice the navigation system in the car the cd was missing, so we mention it to the sales guy [redacted] and he said he will take care of it don't worry, he said that the car came with a cd but gave it to another person who bought a Bmw from them and he promise no big deal he will replace it, and so we took his word for it, after months we call him he said we will get you one but never did, I spoke to his manager [redacted] , and several managers and they promise they will take care of it but never did, so last week 2/11/2015 @ 10:40am I went back to the dealership and ask for the Cd, [redacted] the manager ask [redacted] did he promise to give us a CD he said yes, so he had [redacted] order the CD on ebay, which [redacted] the manager showed me on his phone, the CD will come to my address and in my name, but the CD never came to me or in my name , it went to [redacted] home address, then he called my son and said I have the CD, my son went to the dealership to pick up the CD get to find out it was a bad and cheap CD, that never worked , [redacted] tried it and [redacted] tried it and it doesn't work, I have the CD, I called him after he told my son to tried it for two week and if it doesn't work then he figured out what else to do , up to this date from 9/11/2014 to this date we have not gotten a replacement, CD or say anything to us, actually they have been avoiding our calls, to the point I told him if this is not resolved I will take him to court, Please investigate this case, as this is terrible for a Car Dealership to treat their customers like this and to promise and not deliver..Desired Settlement: I need a genuine CD from the dealership , I told him how much it cost and I will not trust them to order it from any other source, I want to order it from the dealership myself and he paid for it.

Back in September of 2015 I purchased a car from Auto Republic Fullerton. I purchased a 2008 BMW x3 for around $17,500...I am in my 20s so yes that money was hard earned money. I am not from Fullerton, I actually drove 2+ hours to go look at this car. I first called Auto Republic to make sure the car was there before I drove all the way down there, they said yes it was and scheduled an appointment for me to go look at the car. The day I was supposed to go see the car the dealership kept calling and calling to make sure I was still coming, I told them yes but I wouldn't be there till the evening. On my way there I got an email from them checking in to see if I was still coming.... At first I thought it was nice that they wanted to make I was able to see the car but the more and more I go over everything the more I realize that they were pulling me into a scam. I arrived at Auto Republic and sales man [redacted] helped us out (myself, my parents and my boyfriend.) He showed us the car and turned it on for us so we could listen to the engine. I shut off the engine and we all heard a weird noise (well not all the salesman claimed to have not heard it) So of course we brought up the noise before purchasing the car and we were told that it was nothing, that it was probably just the "mouse in the wheel" (yes they made a joke out of it... not funny) they told us the car went through a full inspection and that the car was well maintained. We turned the car back on and then off and the noise was gone so we took his word for it. Test drove the car and hours later ended up purchasing the car. When filling out the paper work before they even gave us an option to buy the "cooling off period" they had already printed N/A on it, I than asked why they did that and they told me "We figured you didn't want that option, this is really only for people who bring back their the next day and realize they don't like the color or size of their car anymore," so told them "yeah your right I don't need that, I know the color of the car and the size and I like it all." I ended up buying the car "as is" because I was told it went through the inspection and that there was nothing wrong with it. WELL.... on my way home I stopped at a gas station (because they gave me the car completely EMPTY!!!! and only gave me $20 to fill it up which obviously didn't give me enough gas to make it home) and when I stopped and turned off my car the gas station my car made that noise AGAIN!! By this time its too late too call so I hold off till the next day. Within 24 hours of owning the car I had several engine lights come on... My ABS lights, Brake lights, 4x4 lights, and airbag lights. JUST MY LUCK!! At this point I email them right away and tell them about the problem, I never received an email back so I sent another one and again no response.. I ended up calling that night and got the run around "the manager is busy but will call you when he has time." I never received a call.... so I called again the next day and was told the same thing "The manager is busy with clients right now." So I took my car to my mechanic and asked him to look at it for me...He informed me that yes my car has an issue and top of that I needed a new battery because mine was almost completely dead ( there goes $300 out of my pocket for something Auto Republic should have checked in their "inspection") The issue was that my transfer case actuator was bad, this is what controls the all wheel drive on my car so it makes sense that the 4x4 lights came on. So my mechanic gave me a quote on what it would cost to fix it.... $3,000!!!!!! (I got the same quote from BMW themselves) My mechanic asked me when I purchased the car and I told him I had just purchased it the other day. This is when my mechanic told me "you need to bring this up to the dealership" and I told him I brought up a noise when I was there but they ignored it and sold me the car under false pretenses and right away he told me "they knew, if they did a full inspection on this car than they knew," he asked "were these lights on when you bought it?" and I told him no, his response was "I can bet you that they reset the lights on the car, I can reset your engine lights right now and they won't come back come until tomorrow afternoon." (hmmm weird my engine lights came on 24 hours after buying the car) THIS is when I realized that this is why they kept calling me to see if I was gonna come!!! They wanted to know when to reset the lights that way they couldn't come on while I was looking at the car!!!!!!!!!! (I had my car checked by multiple mechanics and they all told me the same thing "they knew about the problem but didn't want to tell you")By this time I am getting very very frustrated and upset. For WEEKS I was told "the manager was sick" "the manager isn't in today" "the manager will give you call tomorrow" "we never received any emails" "is this the first time your calling." My father finally emailed them and of course he had to send multiple emails before even getting anyone to respond to him. The manager finally called to my dad and told him "we have been calling your daughter for weeks and been leaving voicemails on all the numbers we have one file" which was a lie. They than told him that there was nothing we can do, you bought it "as is." The manager than proceeded to tell us in an email that they were not aware of the problem, he stated that they do not have an official BMW computer to read the car. SOOO WAIT LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT you told us that the car went through a full inspection but then later after we purchased the car you tell us that you guys don't have a computer that can read the car, so how could the car have passed inspection if you can't even read the car?! So after all of this yes I am taking legal action and I really hope everyone else can learn from my experience... DONT BUY A CAR FROM AUTO REPUBLIC!!!!
