I purchased a pair of earrings from the Swarovski outlet store at *** outlet mall Jan 9,2020. At the time of purchase they took an extremely long time to find a new pair of the earrings. When they finally found the earrings they told me they couldn't find the outside box for the earrings but not to worry because they inspected the earrings and there is nothing wrong with it. Because the earrings are 50% off I was told they're not refundable but not to worry because it has warranty and I can exchange it if anything is wrong with it. I felt it seemed odd why they can't find the outside box so I inspected the earrings right outside the store after purchase.I noticed a crystal is missing and immediately told the sales person.I was shocked by their response. They said I can't return the earrings even though it's defective and I literally just walked right back into the store in less than a minute inspecting the earrings right outside the store. They said they don't have another pair of that design so I can't exchange it. They also refused to repair it because they claimed they don't have the parts.They are only willing to exchange for a different item which I think is not fair since it's the company's fault for selling me a defective item claiming there's nothing wrong with it. I asked if they have any shipment of the item coming in and the sales checked the computer and said they should have 1 in the shipment that just arrived waiting to be sorted in storage and to just leave my contact and they will call me when they find it. Over 2 weeks goes by & no call from them so I called the store to check on the earrings & I get a rude sales associate on the phone dodging my questions, refusing to assist me and repeatedly telling me to call back another time because she is busy with other customers in an angry frustrated tone louder and louder each time. I requested to talk to the manager but to my surprise the manager says they checked & don't have that design in the shipment & nothing she can do

I am sorry for the late reply as the mail went to the customer service department in the outlet, not our mail box. In regards to that transaction, under that circumstance we should have fully refunded the customer on that day. Unfortunately I wasn’t the manager there at the moment to solve it, and I apologize on the company’s behalf. We should have done better and refunded her, and the response of the associate who picked up the phone was unacceptable. We unfortunately don’t issue cheque refunds as per company policy. I have called the customer to let her know we will issue the refund to her when she brings the product with the original receipt and payment card. I have additionally let the team know to process that refund, no questions asked. if I am not there. We have also reviewed the refund/warranty policy with the rest of the sales team to ensure no similar issues will happen again with other customers.
