Although I've approved for the repair to my watch, appreciate been made aware of the estimate cost of the repair.
If its too expensive, I might consider not to proceed with the repair.

I sent my 6 year old watch in for repair as the mechanism stopped working and paid for this warranty repair at the cost of $235 + HST on May 24, 2019. By August of 2019, the repair had proven unsatisfactory and their work was guaranteed up to 24 months after I sent the watch in. Thus, I returned the watch back for repair to Swatch as the mechanism had stopped keeping time. I received notice on September 12 in writing that they would not honour the warranty claiming that the watch had wear and tear on it. The watch was in the same condition when I first sent it in and there is no indication that the mechanism was damaged from accidental shock as there are no cracks in the housing or the glass. Moreover, they wrote that the band had wear and tear which was not related to the issue of the watch mechanism breaking.
As I paid for service that was unsatisfactory I think at the very least I should be entitled to a full refund for the cost of my initial repair + HST. That total is $265.55

Yes, with our service we provide 24 months service warranty. If the watch comes back with normal wear & tear with some scratches we have no problem honoring the warranty.
However when there are big dents on the case the service warranty may be voided. On the attached pictures these hard wears marks, dents clearly visible. There is new one since last time on the 1 o'clock case lug. This can contribute to the fact the watch is not working properly. After further deliberating we decided to service the watch free of charge this time. We have the optional strap for the customer to decide if he would like to proceed. We hope the customer will be happy with this offer.
