Sweat Fitness & Frames Reviews (3)

Review: On March 4th 2013 I joined Sweat Fitness gym with their promotion of 30 free days for $1 and it was a no obligation contract as long as I called to cancel before the trial ended. I never used my gym membership; On April 1st, I contacted Sweat fitness and told them I wanted to cancel my gym membership trial, it was out of the way for me because I traveled and I never used the membership. [redacted], the representative stated that he would forward my information to his manager [redacted] and have her cancel my membership. In May of the month, I was charged a membership fee. I contacted [redacted] and they told me it would be $150 to cancel my contract. They told me that was in my contract if I didn't cancel. I told them I called the location and cancelled before the trial was up. They told me to talk to the manager to have her call [redacted] to confirm and cancel. I have been calling every 2 days since May 4th to speak with [redacted] and leaving messages. The staff tells me that they are emailing her and sending my messages and she will call me the same day and I still have not received a return call and I still be charged. When I initally signed up for the trial membership I had to sign documents electronically and I asked for a copy and they told me that it would be emailed to me. I have requested these documents several times and it still has not been emailed.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the one month that I was charged and I want this membership cancelled. I want for the manager to contact [redacted] and cancel my membership that I never used..

Review: I had a 20 something day free membership to Sweat Fitness and Frames. When I signed up for it I was under the impression that I could access all the Sweat Fitness locations. This was not the case when I tried to use my card elsewhere. Then, when I tried to call to cancel the membership once it had activated, I was told I had to be locked in for a full year. They refused to cancel my service even when I voiced my displeasure and stated that they will continue to charge me monthly. They essentially baited me into a membership under false pretenses.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the months that they charged me and I would like to put a formal complaint against there business. Upon further review and research, I noticed that many other clients were duped by the same advertising/marketing bait and switch strategy. They are luring people into there gym with false promises and I wish to have this reconciled

Review: In fall 2012, I had a membership with Sweat Fitness. It was a special promotion that ended up not being what the flyer stated. There were several problems with the billing back then, and cancellation was a challenge. However, that's not what I am writing about now. Today, October 31, 2013, I received a voice mail message from Sweat Fitness saying my account was in arrears and that I should call to correct immediately. I called, and when they checked my account, they said it was a mistake and I must have been left on the call list inadvertently. Even though they said they have removed me, because of my past experience with them, I am nervous that they will "inadvertently" report my name to some collection bureau, which could affect my credit history.Desired Settlement: I would like a written guarantee that my name and account information has not been given to a collection agency by mistake, and that they have absolutely removed me from any distribution lists they may still have (*ANY* sort of distribution list).

Mainly, however, this is for the Revdex.com's information. My experience with Sweat billing and publicity practices has been horrible.
