Swedish Werke, Inc.

Review: I had a 1998 Audi and was told that Swedish Werke was the only repair shop in town. I have taken this vehicle there on several occasions for expensive repairs. On one of my visits to this shop I asked the owner if he knew the best way for me to obtain a second key for this vehicle since it was purchased with only one key. He told me he could order if for me for $70.00 so I said ok. When the key came in I picked it up and took it home, as I was driving another vehicle at the time I went to pick up the key. When I went to start the Audi with the new key it would not start. I called and informed the owner of this He said to put the key in and turn it to the 'on' position and let it set awhile so that the cars computer could read the new key. I did that but it still did not work so I called him back. He said he called the dealership that he had ordered the key from and they informed him that they no longer include 'coding' the key because of theft issues (???) and that I would need to pay him $90.00 more to have the key coded. I told him I didn't want to pay that much more and that if I had known this in the beginning I would not have ordered the key. He basically told me "oh well". I had my bank cancel the credit card purchase but he disputed my complaint and said that I only wanted a key that would lock/unlock the door (SO NOT TRUE). I called him and told him I was going to file a small claim court. He offered to pay $50.00 of the $90.00 charge to 'code' the key. I was hesitant but I agreed. I've called him several times to set up an appointment to have the key "coded" and I've left messages and he has ignored all of my calls. He now has my $70.00 and I have a key that does not start my car.Desired Settlement: He needs to make good on HIS offer to "code" the key! This key is useless to me as it does not start the car.
