The response given to our customer at the time of purchase was correct. The info was found on *** website and owners manual (lbs.). The real misunderstanding involves a recommended trailer brake system. Our customer does not own the camper(2500lbs.), but borrows it from
their parents. This may be the reason they did not accept our offer to repair or install a brake system on the camper(our research on that older camper revealed it should have had one when first manufactured). We did indeed ask them to participate in the cost of the brake system at the 50% levelAll of *** competition in this segment have similar towing capacities and recommendations for trailer brakesI CANNOT assure it is safe to tow anything over 1000lbswith or without a trailer braking system for obvious reasonsFor safety reasons, we are still willing to put in writing our offer of a free brake inspection near the end of their lease so that they will not be charged for excessive brake wear and tear. If the problem of the size of the hitch ball exists, we will resolve that issue as well

Tell us why here...Refund check will be issued today. I have left a phone message for customer

The issue is a manufacturer problem and not a dealership issue. The dealership will remove the radio and send it to repair facility at no cost to our customer in order to retrieve her CD's. We will work with repair facility for a fair price to repair the radio, not replace it with a new
one

Regards,
Stephen *** ***Above***Auto-generated ***Below***my counter-complaint (which is also attached as a word document) To Whom it May Concern, 2/16/17 I am writing to follon my original complaint regarding Robyn and Keith’s original unwillingness to adequately explain the charges for a recent vehicle repair of my Hyundai Entourage (regarding Complaint ID 11982298)For now, I wish to communicate exclusively in writing (meaning no phone calls from Ganley Westide Imports Incin North Olmstead, Ohio).I read both of their written statementsKeith left out the part (and he knows better than that) where I asked him to explain over the phone, in addition to the ball joints, why I had to have the valve, the alternator and the spark plugs replacedHe proceeded to explain to me ONLY that the valve needed to be replaced for the amount of miles on the vehicleAnd, again, like I explained before in the original complaint, he smoothly decided to transfer me back over to Robyn, WITHOUT explaining why I had to have the alternator and the spark plugs replaced as well I just had the spark plugs replaced a couple of years agoRobyn seems to be a friendly person, but she did not give a satisfactory answer; this is why, twice, I tried to reach out to her manager, Keith---over the phone and in personI have never had a manager, like Keith, walk away like that and not wishing to address one of his customers concernsIt strongly gives the impression that he had something to hideGoing from an estimated quote of $(ball joints) to roughly $(on an upsell basis) warrants a thoughtful explanation, which I never received despite repeated attempts to do just that.If I had had the ability to go somewhere else to have the work done, I would have done so. The safety of my year old daughter and transparency are very important to meApparently, Ganley Westide Imports Inc., as represented by Keith and Robyn in Hyundai service, do not value transparency and integrityMoreover, it is ironic that Keith wants his customers to give a star rating for work done at his shop (he explicity asks for that, which was attached to the work order), yet he is not willing to provide star serviceTo resolve this matter, I want to be refunded for the alternator and spark plugs, since Keith, the manager, does not wish to tell the truth about the alternator and spark plugs. Best regards, Stephen W***

Ganley Westside Imports will buy the car back.  Customer's loan through [redacted] will be paid in full today.  We look forward to working with the customer on a new or used car in the very near future.

Our customer shopped for a vehicle on line.  Our website displayed several vehicles with descriptions of each.  [redacted] narrowed his search to a [redacted] of a particular color and price.  That is the vehicle he ended up buying. This vehicle was not advertised with...

navigation and therefore does not have navigation. Our salesperson showed him the other vehicles of the same color, one of which had the navigation option, but the price was quite a bit higher due to the year and trim level and mileage.  At the time of sale, according to our salesperson, a navigation system was never a requirement.  I apologize for any confusion. As a token of our appreciation for becoming a valued customer, I can offer a free oil change on this vehicle when he is due for maintenance.

We are currently trying to contact [redacted] to exchange loaner cars.

Mr. W[redacted]   I want to let you know Ganley Westside Imports in no way sold anything on your car that was not needed. I am sorry you feel Keith did not spend sufficient time speaking with you during both of the conversations he had with you. We absolutely do value transparency and integrity and I can’t see my staff attempting to deceive you in any way during your visit with our Service Department.   I have reviewed the entire transaction and the alternator itself which we still have here at the dealership. Clearly oil from the leaks that you had prior and for some time on your vehicle caused the Alternator to need to be replaced. This also causes deterioration of the ceramic exterior of the spark plugs no matter how old they are or when they were replaced.   Since you stated you had the spark plugs replaced in the past I have no problem refunding you the cost of this service which was $171.00 including the tax you paid for this visit even though the oil leaks are the reason we recommended replacement to prevent running problems. I also would be happy to supply you with your Alternator which has clear evidence on it that the failure was caused from the oil leaks as it is covered with dried oil around the cooling fins. I have attached a picture of your old Alternator and have it here for your inspection if you would like. Jason R[redacted]Service Director
