I used them, never againHe asked about for repointing my chimney and capPaid down payment first with credit cardHe ended up taking double of what he was suppose to, so in the end he didn't do a complete job and he thought he could get away with not acid washing and water proofing the finishAlso he did a Really awful job all roundThank god I with held money from him

STRONGLY RECOMMEND to avoid doing any business at all with this so called company.Purchased chimney cleaning service through Groupon.Shame on meI should have known after making appointment and talking with person on phone this was going to be memorable.Scheduled for 11/11/14,they called and cancelled due to overbooking? Re-scheduled to 11/14,they called and cancelled due to LIGHT RAIN! I told them I felt they were running a scam and all I got was I'm sorry.I'm sorry sirI was not interested in anything she had to sayShe re-scheduled for 11/and yes they cancelled again due to rain? They set up two more dates in which you guessed it CANCELLED! I had already called Dave's Chimney Service and they came out and performed chimney cleaning within a few days.No cancellation,no excuses.Professional job well doneLesson learned.Make sure companies are legitSTAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

We purchased a voucher from Living Social for Sweepy Hollow Maintenance Chimney Cleaning with Fire & Safety Inspection and made an appointment (PM last Fall) for the service The time passed and no one showed up or called; we presumed that they were not coming However, at 7:PM, they arrived on our doorstep The 'foreman' gave us an excuse: they'd been held up at another job (Actually, WE WERE HELD UP to the tune of $1,500+!) Since we knew that they'd traveled quite a distance, we allowed him in Unbeknownst to me (I was recovering from major surgery and out of the loop although I had purchased the voucher), the guy told my (disabled) husband that they didn't clean chimneys but they inspected them for problems, if any Of course, he told us we needed a cap for safety reasons, etc., and he had the equipment with him to do the job My husband was concerned because the workers had to go up on the roof and it was quite dark but the guy assured him there was no problem since they knew what they were doing (NOT!) A couple of other workers went into the basement to work on the bottom of the chimney We learned that they didn't have enough cement to finish the inside job but they told us that they'd be back to finish: months later, we are still waiting Not only that, we are doubtful that the cap was installed Since we are elderly, we are not able to check the chimney from the rooftop and we haven't been able to hire someone (yet) to do it Ordinarily, we are not stupid people but, unfortunately for us, we were sympathetic and vulnerable at the time these crooks came to our home We should not have allowed them entry when they showed up minutes late, after dark and we should not have paid them in cash My husband did try to contact them but, each time, he was given the runaround and someone accused him of lying about the whole thing! RUN, don't walk, from these guys By the way, when my husband spoke to me about the repairs, I Googled the company and only found a few reviews: majority were good but there was one that was bad However, when I mentioned it, the guy told us 'there's always somebody who can't be pleased." I believe the positive reviews were written by folks with a stake in the business

STAY AWAY FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE A SCAM! Purchased a LivingSocial and made a first appointment. I waited the 2 hour window and no one showed up or called. I called them and received a response "oh, no one called you?" I re-scheduled again, and received a call the morning of the appt that "there was a big job from the previous day and would need to reschedule". The third appointment came and went with again no call, no show. I had to call MULTIPLE times to receive a call back. Again, I received an excuse "the office didn't call you?" Rescheduled yet again and actually called in the morning to confirm. I was told I would receive a call with 1 hour if it could not be done that day. 10 min before the scheduled appt (5 hours after AM call) I received a text "sorry, need to reschedule". This company is a scam. DO NOT PURCHASE anything from Groupon or LivingSocial! Reporting company to LivingSocial so they no longer offer vouchers with them.
