Please accept Sweet and Smokey Diner’s apology for the mix up to...

[redacted] and her son’s to-go order.  Clearly, there was an error in the whole transaction which we want to make right and have a happy customer.
 
We also apologize for the delay in response.  Shortly after 9/15/15, Betty W[redacted] suffered a heart condition and has not been active in the restaurant.  Yesterday, she went into heart surgery.  As manager, I have not had access to the business mail at the [redacted] and do not have access to her email where you may have sent correspondence.  Her son has brought the mail to me and I am now addressing a resolution which I hope will be mutually satisfactory.
 
My resolution is to offer first our apology for any discrepancy and pay the disputed amount of $20.00 (twenty dollars).  I will need to know the process and how and where to send a cashier’s check for the $20.00.
