Sweetwater Car Wash, DP Reviews (%countItem)

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! I have never posted a review before but I am compelled to save people from going through the same experience I have. I brought my car in for a wash and oil change and a couple weeks later my car broke down and the mechanic found a spring from an oil machine gun in our oil tank which has now lead to a 4k repair. We have only gone to Sweetwater Apopka for our oil changes. Customer service was no help what so ever, they didn't even bother to review the footage. We are now forced to go through an attorney to cover damages. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Sweetwater Car Wash, DP Response • Jul 21, 2020

The customer was offered to see our oil dispensing unit and has been explained that the dispensers don't have springs. They still don't.

The vehicle has had more than the two oil changes with our location so the spring in question could have been there for longer than the customer owned the car. We have offered, again, to show the customer the dispensers but has chosen not to and instead has decided to write slanderous reviews instead.

The car wash stopped while I was in the tunnel. Upon resuming it caused damage to my vehicle. Now they are refusing to provide insurance info.
Visited your car wash on Saturday 6.27.20 and during my visit their equipment stopped mid way. Upon resuming the equipment struck the front tip of my vehicle and scratched the hood. I have this on dashcam footage. I notified the car wash, in person, on Saturday 6.27.20. They told me they would be calling me on Monday 6.29.20 instead of providing me contact and or insurance information. They called me on said Monday and said they couldn't do anything until Wednesday and to come up at 12 noon. I came up at noon Wednesday 7.1.20 and was told to leave the property otherwise I would be trespassed. They refused to provide insurance info or Corp info. Instead the wrongly accused me of getting in the managers face and told me that they had proof they did not cause the damage yet refused to show me anything even tho the manger Said they couldn't see any damage.

Desired Outcome

I would like the company to refund all charges to my credit card. Also would like them to fund all repairs to my new vehicle thay has only 1000 miles on it.

The customer visits the car wash on June 27,2020 at 4:17pm and enters the car wash tunnel at 4:19 pm. The car wash is stopped when he is in the tunnel due to another customer having trouble putting there car in neutral. He goes through the car wash and exits at 4:23pm.
Based on our video of his vehicle at the exit, there is no scratch on his car when he leaves the car wash. He returns to the car wash at 4:46pm (23 minutes after he leaves the facility) and proceeds to accuse us of causing the scratch on the front of his car. After a brief discussion with the customer, the manager proceeds to review the video and starts an internal incident report. He returns within 10 minutes to tell the customer that he has reviewed the video and see's no damage when he enters or exits the car wash.
At that point the customer then states it happened in our car wash and the manager has to fix it right there and now.
The customer was very aggressive with our manager and just kept telling him that the damage happened when the car wash stopped even has it was explained that our equipment could not have made that scratch.
We have reviewed our video and his dash cam video and they both show our equipment running normally. We have clear video of the vehicle leaving the car wash tunnel and there is no damage to the vehicle. We think that the damage happened in the 23 minutes between when he left our facility and when he returned.
We have offered to show him our video and he refused claiming that he had his own video. His dash cam only proves that the car wash stopped and then started again and our equipment is running correctly.
When he returns on Wednesday, he spoke with both managers and they were trying to explain to him that we did not cause the damage and he just didn't want to hear it. The customer then stated that he was going to call the police and at that time he was asked to leave the property and wait for the police next door.
He is still more than welcome to come view our video and we will be happy to show him that we did not cause the damage that he is accusing us of.
We provided him with the car wash service that he purchased and should not have to refund his money for providing the service he has paid for. We will not pay for any repairs for any damage that we have not caused. We have attached the screen shot of his vehicle leaving the car wash with no scratch on it.
Thank you

Customer Response • Jul 02, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The companies response is not inline with what occurred. In fact, it even completely contradicts some things they themselves wrote in response to a*** review, which they have since threatened/stated that they would take legal action on if I did not remove the honest review.

1. They are now claiming they have video proving there was no damage when I left the wash. However, they themselves stated "To identify a hairline scratch (which we identified on our camera system before the car enters the tunnel)" Via public*** review response from the company. This clearly indicates there is a major discrepancy between what they have publicly stated and what they are now claiming via the Revdex.com forum.
2. They are now stating that I was "Very aggressive" and "kept telling him that the damage happened when the car wash stopped". Part of this is true, I did in fact insist that the damage was caused by their equipment. I was upset that this had occurred to my new vehicle as any human being would be. Even Gregory the manager stated to a friend regarding the situation "Trust me I realize and I would be pissed off too sir". Also, they have proceeded to slander my name and my character by claiming I made threats to them and got in their face which is completely false.
3. Again, regarding their video, they are stating "We have clear video of the vehicle leaving the car wash tunnel and there is no damage to the vehicle" and they are now claiming that the damage occurred in the "23 minutes" between when I left and when I returned. However, I have video proof that nothing occurred between that time other than normal driving until I reached my destination, then walked away, and returned to finding the scratch. My dash cam not only records the entire time I drive. It also records when ever the vehicle is in park and there is ANY motion in front of my vehicle. Therefore proving nothing happen while I stepped away.
4. They have just stated they offered to show me the video from their systems supporting their side. However, they have refused to show me anything.
5. They are now stating that they tried talking to me when I arrived on Wednesday. However, that is invalid. Upon approaching my vehicle on Wednesday they said "Hey what's up?" To which I responded with "Hi, Im doing alright" they then stated "we got a call from the owner and they said because of the way you treated him and the email you left we're not dealing with you, you can leave the property" to Which I attempted to get the insurance information for their company and they refused. During the approximate 2 minute 30 second interaction until I left their property, I attempted to gain further information and was only threatened with the police and that I would be trespassed if I did not leave. I did state that I would call the police myself as they refused to provide any information or further solution to damage they caused. To which I did follow through on upon leaving their property.
6. They are now claiming I am "STILL" more than welcome to view their video. However, they publicly stated via a response to a*** review "Having a concern for our manager, we asked the customer to not return."
7. The photo they uploaded is a photo of a computer screen with no timestamp or clear land mark indicators showing where my vehicle was in the process. In addition to this, the photo resolution/quality is too low to see the scratch that their equipment caused when not having the proper time to fully reset and go back into motion. It is likely possible that debrit was caught deeper in the brush and therefore the initial impact of the brush can EASILY cause damage. Especially mixed with the fact the water, that typically acts as a lubricant, had already started to bead away off the surface due to their equipment being shutdown.

Due to the response and misinformation provided via this forum, I urge sweetwater car wash to resolve this matter accordingly and edit their*** reviews into a public apology retracting all slanderous claims toward myself, ***, and my friend***. In addition, I still insist sweetwater refund all fees charged to me and to pay for the repairs to my hood.

Sweetwater Car Wash, DP Response • Jul 06, 2020

We stand by our initial response and will not go back and forth like this. The customer is more than welcome to see the video. The customer can email [email protected] to set up a time for us to meet him at the location to show him the video.
Thank you

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not feel safe returning to a property where I have been treated with having the police called on me before ever even trying to speak with me. You fill find a link to one of the many videos I have that shows how you are not able to trust this company as it clearly shows how they have already lied based on what they have already stated previously.

If this continues I will post all of my videos for the public to see how this company treats customers after their equipment causes damage.

Sweetwater Car Wash, DP Response • Mar 14, 2019

Hello,
The vehicle was damaged before entering the car wash. We have camera footage of the damage and offered to show the footage to Dr. ***. The Manager never said we would pay for the damage and referred a body shop where the customer could go and pay for the damage. The customer does not have anything in writing except for the address of a body shop and the manager's name. No payment for damage was ever authorized or spoken of by anyone affiliated with our business. When we offered to show the customer camera footage, the customer said our cameras can't possibly see it. After explaining that the damage was there, the customer showed up to our property and berated our female manager in front of staff and other customers. As a result, we have asked that this customer not return due to their behavior and the attempt to defraud the business. The owner never received a call personally and our regional manager has spoken to the customer and explained everything stated in this response. If the damage had been caused by us, we would be happy to fix. This customer will not accept any other answer and has attempted to ruin the business' reputation just because he believes our cameras "aren't HD enough". Thank you.
