This business advertises cleanliness and rooms that they simply do not offerThey offer Non-Smoking Rooms and the rooms smell like Casinos! If you go online and read the reviews, they have very negative reviews and bug issuesI explained to the receptionist that the cigarette smell was very strong for a non-smoking room and I was having a hard time breathing in thereDue to my asthma and my health, I would not be able to stay the night thereInstead of providing good customer service and offering my money back or at least a small fee for the inconvenience and re-imbursing the rest of my money, they still charged me the FULL price when I did not stay hereI asked receptionist to have the Manager contact me to try to refund me my money and they declined to offer that optionI do not know how this business stays open with the conditions of the hotel & poor customer service!

Review: On Friday June 26, 2015. My wife and I had a confirmed reservation at Sweetwater Inn hotel in National City, CA

Upon our arrival, other costumers were complaining to the front desk about the rooms being dirty. We asked the concierge guy to show us the room before checking in. He showed us two rooms and they were in very bad condition, dirty and smelly. We went down to the lobby and stepped outside to make a phone call to the booking agency Orbitz to request a transfer to a different hotel. It was denied to us and were told it was not possible per Orbitz policy.

When we walked back into the lobby and asked the concierge for a cleaner room, he simply said that our reservation had been canceled. We never said that we wanted to cancel our reservation.

No notification, no record or a signed form consciously stating that we were canceling the reservation was given to us. We didn't request a cancellation at any time. The front desk employee stated that his manager had ordered him to cancel our reservation for no reason. He never explained himself as to why he was canceling our reservation. We were never told a reason why he canceled.

We asked to speak to the manager but he wasn’t there. We also asked to speak with him on the phone, but the employee said he was not available and simply refused to let us speak to his manager and find out his reason for canceling our reservation.

We then, requested a refund that we had paid in advance but was completely denied. The front desk employee then asked us to leave because he was going to call the police on us. We stepped outside and we called National City PD; two officers showed up a few minutes later. We explained to them the situation and both said that the hotel had a bad reputation for having prostitution, drugs and being a place where they receive a call from once in a while for various criminal activities involving it, or around it.

We didn't spend the night at the Sweetwater Inn hotel and never got a full or partial refundDesired Settlement: Since we did not make use of the premises I request a full refund.

Review: On February 28, 2015, I rented a room at Sweetwater Inn... I listed my car information and was given my room key (nothing else) When I stepped out at between 12-1am.. my car was gone.. went to the office to find out they authorized my car to be towed because it didn't have a parking permit for this establishment. when I checked in (I have a copy of the registration form) I documented my car info.. after I realized that they had ordered an illegal tow I had to prove that they were negligent. I have spoken to the manager on several occasions who has promised me a refund of $360.00. my car was towed by Western Towing.Desired Settlement: Refund of the charges I had to pay for illegally towing my car.
