Fence post tops were cut off uneven I had to contact Sweitzer's Fence Co, explained the problem and told him that I would withhold a portion of the balance due to him and pay it to him once he completed the jop correctlyHe cme back and recut the fence post tops
Two gates were installed and now the gates are uneven and do not line up One gate is warped and separated from the other I agreed to have Sweitzer's Fencing Co do the work on our fence I asked MrSweitzwer if having two gates would be a problem? MrSweitzer assured me that the two gates would not be a problem and they would be aligned evenShortly after the fence work was completed the gate started to warp and separate from the other gate When I notified Mr Sweitzer of this problem, he said he noticed that the gates were not aligned when he was at my house recutting the fence po

Complaint: ***I expect a man to admit that he made a mistake and take ownership of his mistakes and make good on it. I expect to be treated fairly and honestly. The response from this vendor is not truthful. MrSweitzer never suggested using cedar for the fence and he never said there would be problems using the materials he used. I would have never allowed the materials to be used. I asked MrSweitzer if there would be a problem having two feet gates side by side. He said there would not be any problem having gates that were feet each side by side. He said that he would make certain the gates were lined up properly. He never said that there would be warping. That is not the truth!!!MrSweitzer called me on Thursday, August 25th (problem was discussed with MrSweitzer in June) to say that he was going to stop by my house to check on the fence. He said if he could not make it to my home on the 25th that he would stop by on Friday, August 26. I did request that he speak to me to me before he repaired the fence. I wanted to be certain I understood what he was going to do to my property. He never showed up and he never called me to give me an explanation as to why he had not come by to repair our fence. I received a phone call from MrSweitzer on Monday, August at approximately 9:00pm telling me that he son stopped at our house to look at the fence that day. MrSweitzer said his son told him that the post on the fence were out of plum and that is why the gates were not lined up properly. MrSweitzer said that he knew some of the 2x4s were warping also contributiong to the warping and misalignment of the fence. I asked him why the boards were pulling away from the structure in certain places? MrSweitzer said the screws were not inserted properly. I did not go with the lowest bid. I went with a man who I thought would do a quality job. I paid top price. Therefore, I expected top quality materials to be used and top quality workmanship. I got neither. Some of the boards have notches out of them and do not represent top quality material I have purchased from ***. A workman who see his job is inferior and does not correct it, is not a man who cares about the quality of his work. For the record our fence was not purchased from Home Depot. The original owner of the property build the fence from scratch

When *** contacted me regarding the gates I suggested using cedar material but he opted to use treated material as the old fence was of that materialI mentioned that there may be warping issuesHe wanted a gate big enough to get a automobile through that is why we suggested a double gateI
stopped by to check it out Thursday he didn't want me to do any thing with out him knowing what we were going to do and I haven't been in the office to get back in touch with himThe material was of the same quality as the old fence purchased at home depot and picked through to get good wood.We have been extreemly busy and has been hard to work every thing into the scheduleI plan to meet with him first of the week to see if we can come to a conclusion of the matter.Merle S***

We were back today and replaced the warped 2" x 4" gate supports with new ones adding additional bracing to keep them from warpingand straighten the post
