They never reimbursed me for my bank charges and said it was actually my fault. I never authorized the debit out of my account so I don't see why they couldn't just own up to their...

mistakes. Terrible company to rent from. Will never recommend them to a single person.

Review: None return of deposit on rental unit.

When we moved out of [redacted] Ave., [redacted] Ca. we expected to receive our deposit back - $125.00 for carpet cleaning. We waited quit some time and then we received a check for our deposit - the $125. + an additional $70. taken out. Swift told me that it was because the owner of the property had walked through it and found that the bathroom was not clean. So I called the owner and she said that she had not walked through the property. (She lives in Sacramento.) So I called Swift back and talked to [redacted] and she said she didn't know what to tell me except repeated what she had told me before. So I called Kathy back, the owner of the property, and then I sent her the before pictures and the after pictures.

Now when she, [redacted] called Swift they have sent her some pictures of the way the house looked when we moved in and calms that this is what they had to clean up. What they are showing was there when we moved in and had been there for some time. ie. The bottom of the toilet bowl in the master bath has a hard water build up and the master shower also has a hard water stain on the bottom. I didn't mention these thing when we moved in because I at first thought that I could clean them. However after bleach and such, I realized that they where there to stay and had been there for a VERY long time. Swift also is showing the air vent. We were told that we needed to change the filter every 2 months, so we changed it right away as it was FILTHY. We left the other 2 filters in the coat closet for the next tenant. Swift is also sending pictures of the dish washer with water in it. When we moved in I had to call them about rancid water in the dish washer. They in turn had me call Beacon Appliance and ask them what needed to be done. I was told to use a dish washer cleaning stuff from Wal Mart which I did. Still did not take the smell out, I called Swift again and they sent out the Beacon man and he told me to use bleach which I did and it did improve the smell enough so the washer could be used. I left the dish washer clean when we left, but all of a sudden we are receiving pictures of it with dirty water in it...Then again they are showing pictures of under the counters with a build up of [redacted] that must have taken some time to get that way. I have to tell you that we only lived in this house form May 28, 2013 to Sept. 23, 2013. As far as I know this kind of hard water stains take much more time than that. Thank you for your time, I hope you can help us with this matter. I is no longer the money but this company is being DISHONEST with me and the home owner and needs to explain itself. Mrs. [redacted] Desired Settlement: First I want our money back. Then I want them to held accountable for there dishonesty.

These tenants were returned all of their deposit with the exception of $125.00 for carpet cleaning which they were obligated to do by their contract to rent with us. They would either have had to supply us with a receipt for carpet cleaning or we would have it done and subtract it from their deposit funds. Our policy is to always follow the letter of the law. If this tenant had a valid complaint she certainly had recourse in small claims court. Instead she has chosen to slander our name with you. You certainly should not publish a complaint until you can do due diligence in finding out if this person is truthful or not. You should at the very least review the lease agreement and move out accounting before you publish any type of complaint against a company.

Thank you for all your help with Swift Properties. We just received a check dated Nov. 1, 2013 for $70.00. So she must have realized that Swift Properties Management had withheld more money than previously stated. Thank you again for you assistance in getting our deposit back.

Review: I am currently in my final month of renting with swift properties, and I paid my final rent on 10/01/14 and on 10/6/14 they made an unauthorized withdrawal from my checking acct for 2100.00 dollars more. I am not on any auto pay, and every online payment I make to them, I put in and choose the date for withdrawal. I have now been overdrawn from my account for almost a week now, I have called many times trying to get my money reversed into my account, while getting the worst customer service from 4 different people now. I support 2 people and have no money for food, gas, to pay my other bills which are now late, and while explaining this they could all care less and were extremely dismissive of what I am currenlty going through; explaining to me that this isn't their fault and I am just gonna have to wait to get my money back. The problem is that they made this withdrawal from my account without my permission, this is a criminal action and they are making no efforts to reimburse me asap. This is so wrong, and I want restitution for all the penalties I have now incurred due to this situtation.Desired Settlement: I want all my money refunded and I want my late fees for my bills which I had scheduled to be paid this week paid also.
