Swim-Mor Pools and Spas Reviews (3)

Dear Revdex.com,
My name is *** *** I am the service manager at Swim-Mor Pools I spoke to Mr*** regarding his Swim-Mor pool installed in Mr*** hasn't used Swim-Mor for any type of service on his pool since He described a need
for repair to his coping and tile which comes with a three year warranty that expired thirteen years ago Mr*** insists that the work that needs to be done is structural I asked Mr*** to send me pictures of the affected area so that I could determine the type of repair needed, however he refused Out of respect for the Revdex.com we can have our construction superintendent stop by to inspect Mr***'s pool over the next two weeks Or for immediate response I can inspect pictures of the pool emailed to me at *** Thank you.

First of all I disagree with most of Mr. [redacted]'s comments and the breakdown of how simple a pool project is without accounting for the many other factors involved in a construction project of this size, including weather, which was a so obviously a significant obstacle this May,...

township inspections, and availability of materials in his region.  Secondly, his complaints regarding the payment schedule are surprising since he signed a contract with a specific payment breakdown that Swim-Mor, as a courtesy with no contractual obligation to do so, split up into even more payments at his request.  And lastly, we met the schedule he requested and I agreed to (even before he submitted this complaint to the Revdex.com) for completing the pool, therefore, I request that he withdraw this complaint.

Review: Pool refurbished. First season leaky white stains coming down "upgraded tiles." Second season, this season 2015, these tiles are peeling. Noticed some hairline cracks along pool. Called and put off till after Memorial day. That date came and went without update. Called and was rudely put off. Was told someone would get back to me, just wait. My husband called 6/12/15. No return call.Desired Settlement: A respectful and responsible individual in charge should contact us immediately. They should repair the poor workmanship correctly with better quality products. There should be no further charges for these repairs and a guarantee on these repairs. This should be done in a timely fashion. This should include all issues that pertain to the work they did.

Response:

My construction superintendent met with the homeowner to review her concerns with the tile. There is nothing wrong with the workmanship that my mason did in installing the tile. What is occurring is that the ceramic face of some of the tiles is flaking off. This is by the way a popular tile and I have never actually scene this occur. I have contacted the manufacturer and am waiting for a response from them. Once I receive an answer to what would cause this I will contact the homeowner with the best course of action.

I am rejecting this response because: It does not refer to crackling of plaster walls in pool. I do accept that they must refer to tile manufacturer. The Swim-Mor representative acknowledged the crackling.

Response:

The tile manufacture has agreed that there is an issue with the tile and is shipping out new tile for Mrs. [redacted] entire pool. Once this is received I will Schedule with Mrs. [redacted] to a time to replace the tile. In regards to the plaster issue. There is some minor crazing on the surface of the plaster in the areas that are above the waterline when a pool is winterized. Crazing on the surface of the plaster is typical and is within industry standards. However, when the crew lowers the water level to replace the tile the minor crazing can be easily addressed.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I am satisfied that the tile manufacturer is correcting the situation. I expect the tile replacement to be free of charge. However, I disagree with the extent of the crazing. It does go down much further. I am certain that Swim-Mor will be sure to completely inspect the pool. I look forward to all repairs being made.

Regards,
