Review: Ordered swimming pool, solar cover, winter cover, pool deck, pool pump and filter. Sent check as advised by salesman so he could place the order. Check was cashed on 7/2/13. Original installation date was to be 7/3/13, Installers arrived and dug out for swimming pool on 7/19/13, but did not install pool due to pool not being delivered yet. On 7/26/13 pool was installed but still have not received pool deck, solar cover, or winter cover. Salesman gave installation estimate of $950 which included pool and deck installation. The actual cost of installation was $1450. Called several times and salesman said would call when pool deck arrives, he never called. I called on 8/17/13 and asked to speak to a manager. The person on the phone refused and asked if he could help because my salesman ([redacted]) was not in that day. Explained about the missing deck, and 2 covers and he said that the pool deck has been sitting there. On 8/18/13 the gentleman ([redacted]) who was in charge of installations called and quoted a price of $650 to have the pool deck installed, and I told him that I would install the deck myself and I still needed the deck, and 2 pool covers. Once again I have found nothing but unsatisfactory service and feel very frustrated with this company. They have displayed poor communication and have left me without items which have been paid for but not delivered for almost 2 months.Desired Settlement: I would like the items and services, that were promised, delivered or a refund on these items.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I had to drive 1 hour and 20 minutes to pick up the items that were to be delivered because I was tired of the almost 2 month wait. They would not deliver the items unless I agreed to pay $650.00 to have the swimming pool deck installed. In response to their email to the Revdex.com, I did not return to the store an additional time to purchase any additional items and will not return to purchase anything further from this company.

Review: Contacted SPD to give a quote on a replacement liner for my inground pool including installation. My son sent them a detailed sketch of the pool with complete and accurate dimensions. Bob [redacted]/SPD emailed over to my son a contract with a price of $3286 which included labor and taxes. I signed and had my son email it back and I called and made a downpayment of $1643 with my credit card to Bob. He then sent two men out to verify the dimensions before manufacture of the liner. He then called and told my son that it would cost $800 more for the steps of the pool that was accurately shown on the sketches sent to him that he didnt pick up. Told him that we wouldn't pay the additional amount and he said he would refund the money. After months of the money not being credited back to my account we contacted them and Bob said it was credited back.. Waited and no money was credited back so contacted them again and Bob said he didn't have the credit card numbers to refund the money to my account.. He had a girl call and get the card numbers and said it would be refunded.. Waited and again no money was refunded. Contacted again and Bob said that he had sent out a letter a month before but I did not get and truly believe he never sent it in the first place after all the previous lies. He emailed the letter to my son that was a release stating that said it was our fault that they had to terminate the contract and that they were going to only release $993 of the $1643 and needed my signature to accept the terms.. Told him that it was not our fault and we should get the entire downpayment back. He maintains now that he is not going to give any back until I sign the release that is not accurate or true.Desired Settlement: I would like all of my downpayment back due to it not being our fault that they did not include the steps in the original price even though they were accurately depicted in the sketch provided to them.

RE: [redacted]Please find my response in regards to Mrs. [redacted] complaint below.Mrs. [redacted] son contact us for a quote on an in-ground liner in which he sent us a diagram of the pool. We gave him a quote based on the diagram and they decided to move forward with the project and gave us a deposit and signed off on the contract.After our measuring department went out to the home which is 2 hours away each direction, we realized that we were not told that the steps were lined also, which would incur more cost for the liner and installation. The original offer for the additional work was $800 and we reduced it down to $300 because as Mrs. [redacted] son stated this was a mutual mistake on both parts. Mrs. [redacted] son said he would be back in contact with us. I called a few weeks later to see what was going on and was told they bought a liner from somebody else.While we agree to a partial refund, we feel we are entitled to recoup our losses and deduct that from their refund. Review: It started back in March. We purchased a pool from them. We were told that it would be installed by Memorial Day. On May 11th, we where told that our pool would be installed that Tuesday. May 12th. We got the sand delieved that Monday. I do have the receipt for this. My husband took the day off work and stayed home. He called over and over again that whole day. No one showed up. We called the installer and the pool company. The installer never answers the phone. The pool company gives us a different answer every time. Up til this point, my husband was dealing with this. Starting June 10th, I called the pool company. I was told by several people that someone will get back to me. One guy called and stated that the pool was installed. I told him it was not. Finally on Saturday June 13, I got a call stating that the installer had put our pool back in the warehouse. The pool company did not know that it was not installed. Our file was also put in the "completed area". They were so sorry. They were going to have a new installer call us Saturday night to give us the new day for installation for this upcoming week. Granted I am upset but I do understand mistakes. I do. We waited Saturday, Sunday, and now Monday. No Call. So being me I called again. Now no one at the store will take my calls. They just keep taking messeges. Today alone I have called 3 times. We are going on 4 weeks and still no pool. The pool is completely paid for. $2300. I am at a lost. The last time I called the woman said " all I can do is leave a message". How sweet.Desired Settlement: What would I like. First I would like my pool delieved and installed. I would like it done this week. I have waited long enough. I am just so upset. Sorry this is just a poor woman typing all her fustrations out on this form.

RE: [redacted]Please find my response in regards to Mrs. [redacted]'s complaint below.As we explained to all customers-we do not install pools of any type and our contracts state that clearly.We do tell customers we work with some independent contractors and can give the contractors the customer's information if they wish and that they in turn can work directly with the independent contractor.Unfortunately, the 1st independent contractor who originally contacted the [redacted]'s have dropped the ball on the project.
