I Donald S*** owner of Swink Roofing Company received a call from Mr.*** regarding a roof replacementI agreed and asked what color he would be interested in Mr.*** said black I asked Mr.*** if you wanted the blackest shingle we
could get and his answer was yes the blackest shingle we could get he not once mentioned about him wanting the same color as their next door neighbor's roof which was landmark charcoal black that isn't the blackest shingle otherwise that's what they would have gotten to begin withIve Been doing this for 25years to be exact not once did I ever have a conversation with Mrs.*** about a color I only spoke with Mr***My father went and measured the roof along with my lead man who has been working for me for years and my dad said he left the proposal In the mailboxHe only spoke with Mrs *** long enough for her to tell him to leave the estimate in their mailboxI proved to Mr*** that the roof on his house was darker than the neighbors and he agreed and Mrs.*** is not wanting to except responsibility for her husband's choice of shingle colorMrs.*** name is not on the contract only Mr.*** whom agrees to having the blackest shingle which I delivered and I gave them a year workmanshipMr.*** plainly told his wife that the roof being installed on their home was indeed what he expected when we asked for the blackest of shingleIm hoping this should take care of this situation that shouldn't have been and issue please reply at your earliest convenience Thank You

My granddaddy used to say the proof is in the puddingBlack is black and gray is grayMy roof looks grayIn fact, it is two toned black and grayMrS*** crew did a good job on the roof at a reasonable priceI did not say that this was the roof I asked forWhat I said was that the piece of roofing that MrS*** showed me looked blackI also told him when we first talked that we wanted the roof that is on my neighbor's house and he called back and asked if I wanted the blackest black and I did say "yes," but I expected that to be the black that is on my neighbor's houseThank you, MrJ***

They even returned afterwards to help me install a new flashing w/o charge because I was away when they finished the job.
