I purchased this vehicle from Sam Swope which marketed the product and a warranty (insurance that the product will be fixed)The product has been recorded when it has stranded meI as the consumer am not responsible to prove that the vehicle is not functioning properlyHowever, I have offered such proof to the lot when they failed to fix this issue--keeping the vehicle during one visit for no longer than minutes.I have purchased multiple tanks of gas--and took two vacation days from work in hopes of resolving this issueI do not find it acceptable that Swope benefited from this purchase--yet claim that they share no responsibility in the repairs to ensure that the vehicle works as promised. It's not up to me to get the vehicle to duplicate the issueIt's not up to me to find a trouble codeIt's not up to me to fix the vehicleIt is the responsibility of both Swope and Jeep as BOTH benefited from the purchase of the vehicle. This issue will not be resolved until Swope offers me an effective solution to solving my problemAlthough I appreciate Swope's effort to keep me in a vehicle during this time, it doesn't solve the issue that my 20,vehicle is not starting at times. In closing, the dealer has mentioned that they are only going by my claims that the vehicle isn't workingI have filmed the vehicle twice on two separate instances (failing to start) and have posted failure publicly on social mediaThey have been provided alternative evidence that the vehicle is not working as promised

Thank you for the opportunity to address Mr***'s concernsThe vehicle in question is covered with a limited bumper to bumper warranty by the manufacturerWe are working closely with the manufacturer and the client to resolve the clients concern for a no start conditionWe do understand the
vehicle has an intermittent no start issue based on the clients communication with us, we have not been able to duplicate the conditionIt seems the client and Swope are both cooperating, however the condition is not occurring while the car is in our possessionWith the clients permission we allowed our Master Technician to drive the vehicle for days, a no start condition did not occur during this day time period, the vehicle operated as designedThe client is currently in a loaner vehicle, at the advice of the manufacturers technical assistance team we have a part on orderThis part is currently on back orderThe client shall remain in the loaner at the expense of the manufacturer until such time as the part arrives and is installedAgain, this part is being installed at the advice of the manufacturer, we have not been able to duplicate the conditionThe only fault code the vehicle has had during our testing is for a software update and that was preformed prior to the clients last issue with a no start conditionWe value the relationship with Mr*** and are following the manufacturers instructions toward a fixWe will keep the customer informed as things develop, Mr*** is currently aware a part is on orderIf Mr*** would like to take another other path with the manufacturer, other than a repair, we will be happy to assist him in any way.Sent on: 5/8/4:21:PM

I purchased this vehicle from Sam Swope which marketed the product and a warranty (insurance that the product will be fixed). The product has been recorded when it has stranded me. I as the consumer am not responsible to prove that the vehicle is not functioning properly. However, I have offered such proof to the lot when they failed to fix this issue--keeping the vehicle during one visit for no longer than 30 minutes.I have purchased multiple tanks of gas--and took two vacation days from work in hopes of resolving this issue. I do not find it acceptable that Swope benefited from this purchase--yet claim that they share no responsibility in the repairs to ensure that the vehicle works as promised. It's not up to me to get the vehicle to duplicate the issue. It's not up to me to find a trouble code. It's not up to me to fix the vehicle. It is the responsibility of both Swope and Jeep as BOTH benefited from the purchase of the vehicle. This issue will not be resolved until Swope offers me an effective solution to solving my problem. Although I appreciate Swope's effort to keep me in a vehicle during this time, it doesn't solve the issue that my 20,000 vehicle is not starting at times. In closing, the dealer has mentioned that they are only going by my claims that the vehicle isn't working. I have filmed the vehicle twice on two separate instances (failing to start) and have posted failure publicly on social media. They have been provided alternative evidence that the vehicle is not working as promised.

Ms. [redacted]'s vehicle was towed to our facility on March 1, 2016. Ms. [redacted] stated the vehicle would not turn over or accelerate. We found no oil on the dipstick and advised the customer. She told us [redacted] did the last oil change. She did have the [redacted] receipt that showed the incorrect oil...

amount was billed, they did not install the appropriate amount of oil recommended by the manufacturer; however, it was only by a very minor amount. Ms. [redacted] was advised of the condition of her vehicle and filed a claim with [redacted]; however, we do not know the outcome of that claim. We quoted a new engine to the customer as the vehicle's engine was beyond repair. We advised Ms. [redacted] that the engine replacement could not be filed under warranty as Ms. [redacted] had failed to check the fluid levels in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations within her owners manual. The vehicles internal monitoring system notifies the driver when the fluid levels are not correct with a bright warning light located on the vehicles instrument panel/display on the dash. The light was ignored and the car was driven until the engine seized internally. We still tried to help Ms. [redacted] and contacted our regional manager asking for assistance. Our Service Manager was advised that if the customer could present nine verifiable oil change records Chrysler would provide good will assistance; Ms. [redacted] could not produce one receipt. After explaining the warranty guidelines, the customer declined a new engine, and we offered to find and price a used one. Ms. [redacted] accepted this assistance and the service department was able to find a used engine. Ms. [redacted] made a $1000 deposit to start the process on March 7, 2016. The used engine was received on March 14, 2016 and was finished being installed on Saturday March 19, 2016.  Ms. [redacted] was contacted on March 21, 2016 and advised the repairs to her vehicle were complete and that the remaining balance of $1383.50 would need to be paid before the vehicle could be released. As you can see the turn around time for this repair was pretty quick (seven days from the arrival of the engine). We allowed Ms. [redacted] to pay her balance in payments which is normally not our policy and provided the diagnostic information for her claim with [redacted]. We have been patiently waiting for her to pay the remaining balance. She did so today by credit card but still has not picked up her vehicle. Swope Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is not responsible for the failure of Ms. [redacted]'s engine as the vehicle was not presented for maintenance prior to the failure.
