I have attached our response to this complaintThank you for your time Thank you again for the opportunity to resolve the concerns of our customersAs with most automotive retailers, Swope Nissan hosts its inventory on a website to provide customers an opportunity to view inventory prior to purchasing a new or used vehicleThe information regarding each vehicle is stored within our dealer management system database but is pushed to our website by a third partyUnfortunately technology is not perfect and sometimes errors do occurIn fact, because we are aware that these errors are simply a reality in any business that relies upon outside services, we have incorporated a disclosure on the landing page for each vehicle that states, “Vehicle data is subject to change without noticeThe publisher assumes no responsibility for errors and/or omissions in this data the compilation of this data and makes no representations express or implied to any actual or prospective purchasers of the vehicles as to the condition of the vehicle, vehicle specifications, ownerships, vehicle history, equipment/accessories, price or warranties.” In the case of Ms [redacted] ’s inquiry, exactly what we dread happening did occur and incomplete pricing information was uploaded to the website Respectfully; [redacted]

At the time of the sale, there was not the availability for a factory remote start system for that particular Nissan model. After exhausting all other options, we installed an aftermarket remote start system in the vehicle to conform to the customer's request. Systems such as these
require the use of one of the key fobs for the programming of the system, thus eliminating the ability to have a second key. After learning that the customer was not pleased with the outcome of the remote start, we agreed to uninstall the system and provide a refund for the purchase amount. The refund took longer than anticipated, and we apologize for any delay in the process. We strive to make every customer completely satisfied, and want to ensure that our customers were pleased with their experience

They told me to take the car back to oem when I filed for the lemon lawSo I had to pay for removal of my stereo equipment I can get all documents from the audio shop I had it done atAlso I had to pay for reinstall as well.it's swope fault that I had to do it it should be paid by them.I also missed a day of work due to dealing with the situation they should pay me for that as well(30.04hr x 8hrs) But all I want is for them to pay my audio shop bill and my oil changes and pay to let me take it to my detail guy in ***I don't want them(swope) to detail it again because of the poor care they did on the last (so called) detail jobI don't trust them to do anything else to my car.if they take care of the things I have listed you won't here anything else from me.I have reviews on a few places online and will remove them once the damages are paid. After Mr*** called us and informed us that we had left his oil cap of his car we immediately sent a technician to Mr***'s location, and luckily Mr*** discovered the problem less than a mile from the dealershipThe technician took oil with them to replace the oil that had been
lost and drove the vehicle back to our store to make sure there was no damage to Mr***'s vehicle. After a thorough inspection we could not find any damage to the vehicle and then we had his vehicle fully detailed for Mr*** and he was able to pick up his Rogue the following dayMr*** was not satisfied with our inspection results and was concerned that there was damage that might occur after the factory warranty ends. Wanting to satisfy Mr*** we offered for him to get a second opinion at an independent dealer and if they found an issue that was caused by us we would pay for any repairs needed

Actually, their full refund offer DOES resolve my complaint.  However, their narrative entirely dismisses the fact that we paid to have a vehicle problem diagnosed and repaired, specifically that it was having trouble starting and idling when cold, and that the matter wasn't resolved, we paid in full and they returned the car with the same problem.  Simply plugging in a computer and fully expecting this advised repair to resolve such a problem is indicative of an amateurish level of expertise and little commitment to the kind of trouble-shooting good mechanics are known for.  Even after imploring them to explore alternate avenues they remained committed to the one repair.  Then advised another repair, both of which did not actually resolve the issue.  They returned the vehicle to our possession without actually fixing it, and the vehicle is now at [redacted]'s on Dixie Highway, where they have taken the time to accurately diagnose the issue, and repair it.I appreciate the Revdex.com's assistance with this matter, which I now view as closed.  I will never shop at such a dishonest brand as Nissan ever again.  They consistently refused to write anything down that would be detrimental to their bottom line, and when they ultimately chose to do so they attempted to slander me.  It is truly poor form for a matter that should be able to be resolved, and was resolved, in a reasonable manner between customer and service provider.

We never told Mr. [redacted] that his vehicle was a lemon but only advised him of his rights under the lemon law in his owners manual. Mr. [redacted] listed several issues that he had had with the vehicle at our dealership and at a separate location since he took ownership. We would certainly not tell him to remove his stereo equipment before he could reach an agreement with the manufacture. We would be happy to detail Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle once again and refund the amount of both oil changes in an attempt to satisfy Mr. [redacted]s.

To Whom It May Concern; Mr. [redacted] brought his wife’s Nissan Titan to our service department and requested the positive battery cable be replaced as the vehicle had been difficult to start. He emphatically communicated to the service advisor that the cable was faulty and that he would not pay for...

the diagnostic or any other service to the vehicle. When a customer presents a strenuous argument against further diagnostics being ran we do not insist as being respectful of our customers concerns and wishes is our utmost concern. For this reason the service technician did not perform the multi[redacted] inspection or a diagnostic scan on the vehicle. The cable was replaced and this did not fix the starting issue on the truck. Only after this repair did Mr. [redacted] agree to a diagnostic scan. That scan produced a code that indicated that the transmission valve body was not performing properly. The technician researched the code and found that the Nissan Service Bulletin recommended replacement of the transmission valve body when a scan produced that particular code. The service advisor relayed the diagnostic scans findings and the bulletins recommendation for repair to Mr. [redacted] who was upset over the cost of this repair. He stated to the advisor that considering he owned two Nissan’s he should not have to pay for the repair, or at least should receive a discount on the repair. The advisor explained that since his vehicle was out of warranty due to the high mileage (over 100,000 miles) we would not be able to assist with the repair cost but gave him the Nissan Consumer Affairs phone number so he could request assistance from Nissan Motor Sales.   Nissan agreed to pay half of the transmission valve body repair on Mr. [redacted] out of warranty vehicle and our service department moved forward with the repair on the vehicle. This repair is not a simple one, in fact many mechanical parts are removed from the vehicle to facilitate the replacement of the transmission valve body. After the body was replaced and the technician began to replace the parts that required removal, he noticed that the negative battery cable would not tighten properly. The technician reported this to the advisor who contacted Mr. [redacted] and received permission to replace the cable before Mr. [redacted] picked up the vehicle. However, when Mr. [redacted] arrived to pay the final bill he became angry and stated he did not want to pay for the repair as it was not needed, that the negative battery cable had been the cause the entire time. This is not the case as a diagnostic scan will not produce a code unless there is a component that does not work on the vehicle. Also there is no connection between the transmission valve body and the battery cable. Nevertheless, customer satisfaction is important to our dealership, Mr. [redacted] has received a full refund for his half of the repairs and is in possession of his vehicle. Mr. [redacted] stated he was happy with the outcome.   Thank you for your assistance in helping our dealerships address this concern.
