Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I did not break my lease; [redacted] authorized it as we were having problems with a smoker tenant making me ill and she was scheduling the renovation of the unit I lived in which is why she raised rent on my neighbor, [redacted] , to get her out for the renovation. As far as vendor charges, I was there, and so was ***'s assistant when that company came and took measurements for the new cabinetsThat's what that bill is forTo use that so say I damaged the apartment is just malicious and makes me look very badThat is slander and just not trueHer assistant repeatedly told me how nice I left the apartment and she wishes all tenants would take such careShe assured me I'd get a full refund.I moved to Texas and gave all of my belongings to the [redacted] Rescue Mission [redacted] witnessed this and told me she thought it was wonderful that I had done thatSo to say I stole the dolly is just plain mean and untruthfulShe knew I didn't take anything with me except suitcases packed with clothes.I'm saddened that she would attack me personally like this as we were once friends.I spoke to [redacted] at the corporate office who said he would fix this issue and send me the depositBut he did not follow throughUnfortunately, [redacted] took this to another levelI would like this corrected amicably without further slander Regards, [redacted]

In response to the Complaint you received regarding Sycamore Lane and cleaning charges on a vacated unitIt is policy and law that we professionally clean apartments after a resident vacates. Our lease clearly states in Section 28-CLEANING Residents must thoroughly clean the Leased Premises, including doors, windows, furniture, bothrooms, kitchen appliances, patios, balconies, garages, corports, and storage roomsResidents must follow move-out cleaning instructions if they have been providedResidents will be liable for reasonable cleaning charges-including charges for cleaning carpets, draperies, furniture, walls etcOwner may deduct the cost of general cleaning or carpet cleaning regardless of whether the Residents clean the unit or carpet before delivery of possession.Cleaning charges are a standard deduction from security deposit and we explain to all of our residents; especially when conducting a prewalk that we will be deducting for cleaning chargesI have attached a copy of the vendor charges which include cleaning charges for your review.I would like to mention in this specific case, the resident also broke her lease in early termination which usually results in a $2,early termination fee which we waived as a courtesy due to her circumstancesI would be happy to send you this resident's lease and her notice to vacate and all of the paperwork that we generated on behalf of relieving her from the $2,early termination fee as a service to herI would also be happy to calculate a revised statement of what was actually paid out to vendors to turn her damaged apartment and for the Sfurniture dolly she borrowed from maintenance and never returnedIn short we charged this resident a minimal amount to what was actually paid to vendors in order to turn this apartment and make ready for the new residentHowever, we are still in statue limitation time to revise and charge her full price. Please let me know if you would like me to provide the aforementioned; i.e [redacted] 's endorsed Lease, Notice to Vacate - indication she broke her lease, Request to Waive Lease Break packet, Actual Turn Cost for unit # [redacted] and receipt for new dolly we had to purchase due to her failure

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I did not break my lease; [redacted] authorized it as we were having problems with a smoker tenant making me ill and she was scheduling the renovation of the unit I lived in which is why she raised rent on my neighbor, [redacted], to get her out for the renovation. As far as vendor charges, I was there, and so was [redacted]'s assistant when that company came and took measurements for the new cabinets. That's what that bill is for. To use that so say I damaged the apartment is just malicious and makes me look very bad. That is slander and just not true. Her assistant repeatedly told me how nice I left the apartment and she wishes all tenants would take such care. She assured me I'd get a full refund.I moved to Texas and gave all of my belongings to the ** Rescue Mission. [redacted] witnessed this and told me she thought it was wonderful that I had done that. So to say I stole the dolly is just plain mean and untruthful. She knew I didn't take anything with me except suitcases packed with clothes.I'm saddened that she would attack me personally like this as we were once friends.I spoke to [redacted] at the corporate office who said he would fix this issue and send me the deposit. But he did not follow through. Unfortunately, [redacted] took this to another level. I would like this corrected amicably without further slander.

In response to the Complaint you received regarding Sycamore Lane and cleaning charges on a vacated unit. It is policy and law that we professionally clean apartments after a resident vacates. Our lease clearly states in Section 28-CLEANING Residents must thoroughly clean the Leased Premises,...

including doors, windows, furniture, bothrooms, kitchen appliances, patios, balconies, garages, corports, and storage rooms. Residents must follow move-out cleaning instructions if they have been provided. Residents will be liable for reasonable cleaning charges-including charges for cleaning carpets, draperies, furniture, walls etc. Owner may deduct the cost of general cleaning or carpet cleaning regardless of whether the Residents clean the unit or carpet before delivery of possession.Cleaning charges are a standard deduction from security deposit and we explain to all of our residents; especially when conducting a prewalk that we will be deducting for cleaning charges. I have attached a copy of the vendor charges which include cleaning charges for your review.I would like to mention in this specific case, the resident also broke her lease in early termination which usually results in a $2,000 early termination fee which we waived as a courtesy due to her circumstances. I would be happy to send you this resident's lease and her notice to vacate and all of the paperwork that we generated on behalf of relieving her from the $2,000 early termination fee as a service to her. I would also be happy to calculate a revised statement of what was actually paid out to vendors to turn her damaged apartment and for the S100 furniture dolly she borrowed from maintenance and never returned. In short we charged this resident a minimal amount to what was actually paid to vendors in order to turn this apartment and make ready for the new resident. However, we are still in statue limitation time to revise and charge her full price. Please let me know if you would like me to provide the aforementioned; i.e. [redacted]'s endorsed Lease, Notice to Vacate - indication she broke her lease, Request to Waive Lease Break packet, Actual Turn Cost for unit #[redacted] and receipt for new dolly we had to purchase due to her failure
