I have had a BOSCH water heater for five years with no problems until two weeks ago. My water heater had problems igniting and staying on while flashing error codes that varried. My plumber took it apart and determined that there was water in the burner but from where? A Bosch tech looked at it and claimed that the copper water jacket has a crack but did not report it to BOSCH. The solutions for repair by BOSCH totally ignore the fat that there is a 15 year warranty on that part. They have suggested that I buy $1725 worth of parts (which is on warranty) too buy a new unit which is $2665. The current unit is bypassed by my plumber to an electric water heater so that my kids can have a bath. BOSCH Wants nothing to do with their products and will not honor the warranty they sell. Their customer service is slower than a snail and their conflict resolution is a painful joke. Do yourself a favor and stay away from BOSCH everything. Their products are clearly made NOT for the long term and if it does break, you are screwed.
