Syncfusion, Inc. Reviews (2)

I had exact same experience recently (29/Aug/2018) in our dealings with SyncFusion.
I purchased 1 developer license under my name (since I had the credit card). This license was installed by my developer in his PC (only).
A few months later the sales guy asks if we have any issues. I said you need to speak with my developer as he uses it, not me personally.
Then after a bit of back and forth, he says, are you aren't licensed correctly, the licenses are "named per developer" and must upgrade to a team license.
Well that is BS because there is no mention at during the checkout that the "Billed To" will become the "Named Developer". It's ridiculous to assert that, since it's often other people (Accountant, Manager) who are purchasing the license and not the final developer. It's a dishonest grab for more money.
Actually I would have been OK to upgrade (it was only an extra ~$US995) to keep the peace, but there was existing issues in the controls that they had had NOT fixed. So there was not only NO incentive to do this, with their harassment they make us want to move away.
So I basically said, screw you, if you want to continue like that we'll dump your products and replace it with your competitors - now THAT is money well spent. :-P

We purchased a product in 02/2014 for 1 year use, syncfusion is harassing us to pay over $1,000 for an additional product we do not need.Purchase Date: 02/27/2014Sales Rep (who sold the item, not in contact now): [redacted]Product: "[redacted]"Current Rep (who has been in contact): [redacted]On 02/28/2014 we purchased single use license for "[redacted]." The developer who researched and downloaded the product is no longer with our company [redacted] Upon [redacted] departure, the name on the product was switched to [redacted], because he is the company owner & purchaser. Recently, we asked Syncfusion to switch the name to [redacted], the developer working on the project. Syncfusion refused, told us to pay $1,000 for an additional license. [redacted] is the owner, not a programmer. [redacted] is the programmer working on the project. We requested to use our single user license, as allowed, by a single user. Syncfusion has called both myself, the Administrator and [redacted], the Owner multiple times, aggressively digging for information & trying to sell us an unnecessary product. Currently, we have 4 employees. 1 owner, 1 IT, 1 Devleoper, 1 Admin. We have had more in the past, but never 50 - 100 employees which Syncfusion is attempting to bill us for. Their internet research is inaccurate. We admitted to Synfusion that the former employee, [redacted] who downloaded the software acted outside of their authority when they downloaded the software, circumventing the Administration. I signed the PO, however I was unaware that the former employee "clicked through" the End User License Agreement upon download. We openly told Syncfusion about this mistake and asked them to work with us and please transfer the name to the correct person. We requested a copy of the EULA and have been denied. In response we have been given and ultimatum, pay over $1,000 to add another person or remove all software within 30 days. We have politely asked Syncfusion cease the aggressive behavior and expressed that we are very confused, concerned. In response, we have been been told we are not being truthful about our company size & intentions. The aggressive behavior continues. After several days of this behavior, I send an email to [redacted] of Synfusion stating our expectations : we want to simply use the product we paid for; a single user utilizing the product & had no need of further purchase. If Syncfusion does not agree to this expectation, we would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com due to our concern. I also stated that I did not ever receive a copy of the EULA and would like one for review. In response, we have been threatened with legal action and again accused of lying about our company & intentions. We are a small business that has been around since 1985. We are busy and do not have time for this harassment. We only expect to use the product which we paid for and not be harassed. We work with large technology companies like [redacted] and [redacted] on a daily basis and have never encountered this kind of behavior. It is not acceptable. Summary: [redacted]'s name is on the license. He is the owner; He is not a programmer, not using the product at all. [redacted] is the programmer who needs to use the product. Syncfusion will not honor our request and has been aggressively calling, emailing myself and [redacted] the owner. We politely asked them to stop being aggressive & please check with [redacted] (Syncfusion) who sold the product to us regarding our company info. Their behavior persisted. We stated our intent to file a claim with Revdex.com due to our concern and in response have been threatened with legal action.Desired SettlementWe paid for a single user license for one year, our only expectation is that we can use this product which we already paid for. We simply want SyncFusion to stop harassing us & aggressively trying to sell us another product which we do not need. It is frustrating and unprofessional. Can you please help us ? We are filing this complaint because this is harassment and is detrimental to all [redacted] relations in the software industry. More info received from the consumer 2014-08-26Hi, We would like to withdraw this complaint case # [redacted]. SynFusion has stepped up to the plate and offered a sincere apology & damage control offer. [redacted], the manager of the rogue employee called personally and shared that neither herself or the other managers were aware of the situation or the rogue employee's conduct. They also offered either a refund or free service. We have been impressed with their professionalism in the follow up and would like to withdraw the complaint. Thank you, [redacted]
