This is the absolute worst tricep bar and customer service I have ever received. I don't know where to start.....I got the bar in the mail yesterday upon taking it out it had a huge sway/bend in the handle grip. It came with a yellow tag attached stating to reach out before leaving a review for refund or replacement for defective item. So I contacted customer care over email and was not offered either of those was offered $40 bucks or a return label. They also stated these are man made and could contain slight error *** BIG ERROR SYNERGEE!!! At this point I've wasted my time and money. 5 minutes later the owner Joey calls me to say sorry for the bad experience *** Your a xxxx, your business is a xxxx Please people save your time and money and go *** or a different brand!!!!!

In 2017 I signed up for a one year membership with this gym, and paid a flat rate almost $***. The membership was set to renew, on auto renew, and it did however they charged me $*** more than I agreed to pay, a grand total of $*** I fought with them and got my money partially refunded. I asked for a "better" deal cuz I was worked out of town and wasn't around to use a membership. This was the best solution they told me. The rest was used the buy a punch pass to use anytime I wished for the gym. The total of the pass was $*** for 50 sessions (2 years to expire). *** I stopped going after 3 sessions. I found another local gym that I love, and it accommodates and doesn't charge me when I am not in town. I emailed and asked to be able to sell my pass or get a partial refund as I DID NOT SIGN or AGREE to anything. They refused to let me sell my pass and transfer it to another person, and as expected will not offer a partial or full refund.

Desired Outcome

Refund I originally just asked to sell my pass to someone else, and transfer it out of my name, but now I am so frustrated with this place that I do want a refund, they are not willing to discuss at all. I never agreed or signed ANY paperwork that said the pass was non transferable or non-refundable.

We are sorry that you are frustrated and for any misunderstandings you have had about your membership.

Here at Synergee Fitness, we strive to provide our athletes with the best service possible and communicate clearly with them to try to avoid such misunderstandings. We also keep meticulous records to ensure that any discrepancies are remedied immediately.

As such, we would like to refer to our records to clarify a few points you have made in your complaint.

We were very excited when you walked through our doors on March 9 2017 and were happy to off you a Free Two Week Membership, plus a discounted 1 Year Membership at a rate of $*** ($*** for the membership + $*** tax). This discounted rate was a Limited Time Promotion.

As per the Membership Agreement we discussed and you signed onto in March 2017, one year later in 2018 when your discounted membership expired (and after receiving a 1 Week Reminder that this Auto Renew would occur), another 1 Year Membership began via auto renewal April 21 2018. As this Membership was no longer being offered at the Discounted Rate, you were charged the full amount for a Commitment Yearly Membership at $*** ($*** tax).

Yet, as per our Membership Agreement, you took us up on our generous offer to refund you the Year Membership, as you did not use it during 2017 as much as you had intended, and you expected your attendance to our facility would not improve in 2018. We completely respect that, as our goal is to provide our community members with fitness memberships and training that best suit their lives and other commitments in life.

As such, on May 3 2018 we cancelled the Auto renewal and refunded you the full amount of $***. You expressed that you were still interested in remaining a Member of our Synergee Fitness Community and inquired which other membership options could suit you. As you work out of town quite often, we suggested a Punch Pass as it would be the most economical option and it would best accommodate your working situation. We appreciate that your changing work location makes it difficult to find a gym membership that suits you, but our Commitment Memberships are not set up to accommodate members who will need regular on- and off-hold alterations to their plans. Hence, our Punch Pass was best for your situation.
Our Punch Passes are intended for people who want to workout at our gym, but will probably visit infrequently for whatever reason (i.e. once a week or less). They work well for other Members who are in a situation similar to yours. You expressed this would suit you well, and you chose to purchase a 50 Session Punch Pass for $*** (note, a 30 Session Punch Pass was also available).

The purchase of the 50 Session Punch Pass was completed on May 3 2018 and on your receipt, written in non-fine print, it clearly states "We appreciate your business - if you purchased a service or supplements, please note services and supplements are NOT returnable or transferable. Some items do have expiration dates." And to further clarify, the final lines read, "If you purchases sic online receive sic your punch pass in store. Please note this item is not returnable. Thank you!" (emphasis added with italics).

This stipulation was discussed with you upon purchasing. And the 50 Session Punch Pass had a 2 Year Expiry Date.

We are so happy to hear you have found a gym facility that fits so well into your work schedule. Our goal is to inspire and motivate people to live healthy and fit lifestyles, and even if it's not within our own walls, we are very excited to hear that you are well on your way to pursuing your own fitness goals. However, despite our enthusiasm for your achievements, we are still unable to refund your remaining 45 Punch Pass Classes.

We are unable to do full or partial payments, or transfer punch passes, as we have clearly communicated via word of mouth and writing to you. You are still welcome to use the remaining sessions and you have another 1 year to get your money's worth of sessions and participate in 45 Classes.
Again, we are sorry for your frustration and any misunderstanding. Best of luck on your fitness journey!

I was not told on the phone that it was non transferable, nor did I even receive a receipt for the purchase so obviously did not read the "fine print" as you describe. *** all I want to do is sell my pass, and it's ridiculous that's you are stopping me for doing this!
