I have always prided myself on having a great credit score. I have worked hard to establish that over the past 30 plus years and never missed or been late with a payment and always tried to be responsible when using credit. A year ago I had a medical collection placed on my credit bureau report that could not be explained to me. It caused my credit score to drop approximately 100 points. I reached out to the 3 credit bureaus and filed disputes with no success. I reached out on multiple occasions to the collection agency who would not, or could not, tell me what it was for. I sent a certified letter to them requesting that they provide me with detailed information regarding the nature of the collection, since I have Medicare and a BC/BS supplemental insurance, and any medical bill would have been covered by the insurances. I never received a response even though I received notice that they signed for the letter. It was frustrating and extremely irritating since I am applying for a mortgage and my reduced credit score was going to cause me to have to pay a higher interest rate.
Syngery Credit Services was recommended to me by my mortgage lender. I contacted them, explained the situation, and they were confident that they could help me resolve my issue. They were very clear in what they thought they could do to help resolve the issue, they explained the process and the time frame (about 6 weeks) for resolving the situation. I just received a letter from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) explaining that after contacting the collection agency, the collection agency could not provide them with appropriate information on the nature of the collection and that they were closing the collection account and returning it to whomever submitted it. WOW!! I am thrilled. Synergy is now in the process of contacting all 3 credit bureaus to insure the collection is removed. Soon my credit score will be back above 800 and equilibrium restored to my credit universe. I honestly don't know how I would have done it without the help of Synergy Credit Services. And as important, their services are very reasonably priced. I had confidence in them every step of the way and they did not let me down!!
