Review: In July 2013, our school paid $5,824.30 (a 50% deposit) to hire Synergy Signs to build and install a new, solar-powered sign. The manager continually delayed the installation and was unable to provide pictures or any other evidence of the sign's progress. Our requests to speak with the owner were ignored. Due to Synergy's lack of communication and performance, we requested a refund, but Synergy ignored that request. Our permit expired in March 2014; the work was not completed and our deposit has not been returned. The only phone number listed on Synergy's website has been out of order since at least January 2014; our emails and phone calls have been unanswered; and the certified letter we sent requesting a refund was returned to sender unclaimed. According to the Virginia Court records from multiple counties, Synergy Signs and its owner have a history of not meeting contractual obligations. Synergy Signs' license (#[redacted]) was recently revoked by the [redacted]). That Board found that "Synergy Signs furnished substantially inaccurate information to obtain its license."
