I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11884666, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I feel it is unfortunate when businesses lie and try to manipulate information to meet their needs.  I also feel Mr. K[redacted] likes to hear himself talk.  He has provided inaccurate and misleading information to you.  When I made the service appointment I informed Maury that I had a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation.  When I arrived to pick up the vehicle and presented the coupon I noticed they didn't do the tire rotation or charge me the correct amount for the oil change.  The day prior I had received a coupon in the mail for $10 off of any service so I used that coupon instead.  I believe this is the discount Mr. K[redacted] is referring to.  In fact, not a goodwill discount at all.  Has Mr. K[redacted] provided any proof of what discount he gave me?  When I discussed a discount with Maury he flat out rejected any notion of it saying there was no warranty.  When I asked if they would call GM to see if they would provide a part as a goodwill gesture I was told I could call GM but they wouldn't do a thing.   Mr K[redacted] has also provided false information about the body shop work.  I informed the service advisor that the "spots" on the hood were pine tar.  I also spoke with Will the next day after he supposedly looked at the hood and trunk before providing the quote.  I clearly explained to Will that the spots were pine tar.  He said no problem and gave me the quote.  The fact that no one called me to discuss their inability to remove the spots is down right disturbing.  I find their actions to be seriously misguided and charging me for this service to be theft.  If it weren't for the incompetency of Mr. K[redacted]'s staff, this complaint would not be necessary.  While I find the refund of my money for the wet sanding service to be an acceptable financial resolution, I find their dealership to be a joke!!

Also, when I talked to the salesperson on 2/27 the first one said the Truck was on the lot then the second said it was not. I find it hard to believe that truck still comes up on the website but now the price is higher.

This is response to the recent letter received about Richard W[redacted] 2009 Chevrolet Impala. In response to the 1st part of the letter, we did in fact give Mr. W[redacted] a discount on the repairs. As for the 2nd part of the letter and the paint, Mr W[redacted] requested the paint be wet sanded...

and buffed and our Body Shop gave him an estimate for his request. He did not mention anything about pine tar spots. My position on this matter is that we should have asked him why he wanted his paint buffed out. If we had, we would have known that the spots would not come out and therefore would not have performed the work. I am going to refund the $130.00 plus tax to Mr. W[redacted] by sending him a check.
